How do you get a refund for an app that doesn't work as advertised?
I have followed the proper steps (go into account, purchase history, report a problem etc etc) but nothing gets done and no-one gets back to me. I can't even resubmit the request because it tells me I've already done it!

    Not happy.

It takes a while... normally three days up to a week 'til someone gets back to you.
    You need to have patience.

Yes, I've tried to do the same. Although I have gotten the email within 24 hours, every time they say "i'm sorry, we cannot refund your app based on the information you gave." has anyone actually gotten a successful refund?

I got a refund on Warpgate HD after I accidentally purchased the iPad version. My own boneheaded mistake, but they were nice enough to make an exception this once.

Do you still get to keep the app after they refund it?

You don't get any future updates. You still get to keep the app, but don't delete as you will not be able to download it again for free.

I once got a 10 dollar refund for the 1st Brother in Arms, it took about a week for a reply though, sadly I used that money on Silent Hill when it was $8...

    Hi,

    This is not right.

I got a refund for an app, deleted it and did download it again at a later time because it was updated and did not get charged for the update.

No trace of the app was on my computer or Ipod Touch at the time of downloading the update, and had gotten the refund months earlier.

Not sure where you got your information but it is wrong.

I got my info from my own personal experience. I never got any of the updates for the app and when I tried to re-download it to get the updates that way, I got charged again.

Well Apple says once you get a refund you cannot get a future update, maybe yours was an exception? I definitely didn't get those future updates on BiA for those controls they updated.

    Hi,

Maybe my experience was an exception, if it was, apologies if I came off as harsh in my post above.
