TouchArcade has been very slow at random times during the past month or so, and fairly often. Pretty much on a daily basis. Has anybody else noticed this? Thought I'd bring it to the staffs attention.
I don't know. Last night at 2- 4 am PST it was at a standstill, wouldn't even load at all sometimes. I know people from all over the world/time zones come here but at that hour there shouldn't be a traffic problem. Somethings up
I have not had any issues yet, and I mostly access off my iPhone.....I come on daily, and there's never an issue, but idk
Yeah i notice that all the time. Sometimes it wont even load. I guess it happens when alot of people are on.
Yeah, it happens more and more...maybe there is something going on behind the lines haha or maybe we need more servers...
ya, there were two separate issues I think. 1) there was some apache issues which were unrelated to server load. apache would just die and stop serving web pages for like 10 minutes at a time. I think this is improved/fixed? 2) actual growth - where we may be starting to straight our resources a bit. Some changes were made today which should help and we'll see if we need to upgrade hardware in the future. arn
sweet, thanks for the fill in! its always good to know what is happening, Because we all hate coming here and getting logged out, then in, then not being able to reload
Sounds good. But it took me 10 minutes and as many tries to load this thread, or any other just now. FYI.
Strange but it seems to happen regularly for me at around midnight PST - last night included. As soon as 12:00 rolled around I got timeouts and non-loading pages.
Just happened again. Been posting all day without a problem. At 12:00 midnight PST it's barely moving. maybe the servers do something at that time? It never fails.
I've had this issue for months now and only this site. Earlier it was down (for me) at a longer time (apprx 45mins) but now it will let me back on within a few mins. Gets to be rather annoying and it has come to the point of being expected. But read arns post and hopefully things will be on the mend.
