I heard Nova 2 has some pretty wicked online game play. Do you think there is any chance it might surpass MC2's online fragging?

No. I mean there totally different games, just like MC:Sandstorm and the first NOVA, I had a lot of fun playing NOVA but I think I liked MC:Sandstorms multiplayer better. But we shall see.

    Yeah, that's right.

Basically the same as MC: 2.

    I personally like MC: 2 (modern FPS's) over Nova (sci-fi FPS's).

Just a matter of opinion really.

At this point, I wouldn't think it's possible. Haha. I love MC2's multiplayer so much.

I hope Gameloft beat it though with NOVA2.

man I do too. I love futuristic frag-fest-type FPSs, and while MC2's multiplayer was awesome, it will be nice to have a good (I hope) futuristic multiplayer halo-like game.

You get to jump. I think that's enough win in itself.

Jumping in iPhone fps games is overrated. It's utterly unnecessary.

Most people find Halo's online component to be significantly less compelling than Call of Duty's. The cloned versions likely won't be different in this regard. I could be wrong. The extra maps are a potential bonus for NOVA, but the gameplay just isn't as riveting, at least not in MP format. Don't get me wrong, I've beaten the SP campaign in all 5 Halo games, but the MP just doesn't stack up. Never has. Never will.

    lol from:
    http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/918340-psp/57344455

"Oh god, I hope you aren't talking about Modern Combat: Sandstorm. I haven't played the second one, but the online play for Modern Combat was one of the worst I've ever played in my life. It's basically a race to see who can run to another person's spawn point the fastest, as you spawn in the same spot over and over and over again, which means you get spawn killed as soon as you respawn, and it's so quick you don't have any time to do anything. I don't know what Gameloft was on when they made the online, but it must have been pretty strong. At least they learned from their mistakes and didn't do this with NOVA and Brothers in Arms 2."

    and:
"Borrowing almost shamefully from Halo, N.O.V.A feels like the mobile port Bungie would have made had they taken the terrible decision to shoehorn Master Chief onto a phone and forgot how to make games in the process."

Agreed, though jumping repeatedly is one of the cornerstones of Halo multiplayer so I guess Gameloft decided to copy that also. It's a shame they didn't put in iron sights though.

I prefer Halo: Reach's MP more than Black Op's. At least Reach had some measure of originality while Black Ops was just MW2 with some tweaks and a gambling system.

BC2 and TF2 are still tied for my favorite FPS though.

Do plants need light to live? Does earth rotate on an axis? Is there really a huge line of people waiting to be judged after death?

I think the answer is here is quite obvious sir.

NOVA2 will obviously surpass MC2 in terms of players.

MC2 was a huge success gamelofts fanbase is skyrocketing at the moment and sooo many people are waiting to get NOVA2 just take a look at it's thread...not to mention the better graphics and new maps are reason enough to set MC2 down for a bit and get good at nova :)

    I've read conflicting reports.

Though the majority seem to say: 10 player in matches, 10 maps
