This is an amazing music-studio-in-your-pocket that is very friendly, features some great synths, a sequencer so nice that BeatMaker2 copied it, and is a bargain for $7.

App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.

What's the installed file size? Is this the lowest price it's been?

Mine's 89.7 MB, and I have some projects and in there.

And yes, this is the cheapest it's been - last 50% sale put it at $7.99

I gladly paid full price for it when it came out and have been nothing but happy with it ever since. It's like having a small slice of Reason in your pocket. :D

The track I wrote for Pitman was done entirely in NanoStudio over a period of 3-4 lunchtimes.

Wow! You seem to be using a lot of parts. Any reason for this?

Highly recommended DAW. Have a Soundcloud page with nothing but NanoStudio songs: The City of Molotov.

Been recording on it for over a year and I'm still learning new tricks.

Damn, was about to buy only to find I have only 3.78 in my account. I got an iTunes card so I'll redeem it ASAP.

The song organization is very unoptimized. It wasn't finished when I took that screenshot and there are lots of sections that I copy/pasted over and over instead of making larger blocks because I was still playing around.

Wow, this app is awesome. Seriously considering buying some IAPs.

You can import more drum banks/sounds with NanoSync, correct?

Where can I find more sounds to import? Or will it take just any .wav sound as a sample?

I'm still a noob at this, so sorry for the questions but can you import other .vsti instruments?

And how do I export my project as a .mid file to use in my desktop DAW?

It'll take .wav files just fine, but you can't bring in any VST's (nor can you to any iOS app that I'm aware of - a VST host would be amazing if it ran well! Apple's policy would probably keep it from appearing on the App Store though.)

To get MIDI you have to export the project first, then transfer the file(s).

EDIT: I forgot, an exported project turns into an .NSP file that is a ZIP file of all the project's bits. Email or copy the file, then extract.

Ah, ok, thanks man. So there's only the synths that are in the app? There's no way to get more?
