Along with the 11 pages of apps on the springboard, how many more can I have hidden?

For those of you unaware, you can access hidden apps through spotlight search.

And what is poof? Is it only for jailbroken devices orrr?

is it possible to make an app hidden when you have less than 11 pages? some apps i just want to hide from kids lest they mess up the saves.

The only way I can think of is to fill up your springboard with free random apps and reinstall the apps you want hidden.

He's talking for a jailbroken iPhone. From what I've heard there is no limit to the no. of hidden apps!

Yeah, I've just jailbroke my iPod and I love it, blackra1n is the easiest jailbreak ever! If you jailbreak you can download a cydia app called Catagories where you can put all your games into folders so technically you could have as many apps as your device can hold. If you want to hide an app, just download SBsettings and hide it under there, when you want to use it, just go back to SBsettings and un-hide it.

I think there is no limit. I keep installing stuff without problems.

Yes the limit is the amount of space you have on your iDevice. So up to 64GB potentially. Most likely 8 or 16 GB of apps though.

ok, that was rather obvious, don't you think?
I was talking about no "artificial" limit imposed by apple.

Yeah apple imposed the limit of not offering a device big enough for more than that :p

And yes I know it was obvious, but it needed to be said :)

Depends on which device you have. The new iPod touch can hold 64 GB. iPhones can hold 4, 8, 16, or 32 depending on the model. I said most likely 8 or 16 because majority of devices are those sizes.

And you thought it was obvious
