If you payed attention to the description for FIFA 11 for the iPhone, it clearly states that Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit is coming soon for the iPhone & iPod Touch. If anyone can find any other information please share it in this thread.
You guys do realize that this is a reboot of the Need For Speed Hot Pursuit franchise. It's not a port of the 10-year-old or whatever game. Basically, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is the next NEW game in the Need For Speed franchise. However, in a strange move, they did not call it a sequel. In reality, it should be Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 3, I believe. Instead, they're just calling it Need For Speed Hot Pursuit.
Wow so this is the one that they're still working on for bigger screen, flashier graphic platforms. I read up about it after becoming interested in the series following playing Undercover and Shift on iPhone . Should be cool then, and should be retina! Updates for such for the other NFSs would be nice in the meantime !
it looks great for consoles (finally back to cops) I hope they will not use the same engine from nfs shift(iPhone version)
I think they're just calling it that because it really is a reboot. Cool, didn't know there was an iphone version, I'm incredibly excited for the console one.
NEver heard of this version they should make Most wanted but they should make driving different for example like driver but that you can go anywhere straight left right front but not like nfs undercover omly turn and u can go only on road it should free roam for example like gta san andreas and u drive car go anywhere
Kind of like Guitar Hero for the iPhone. It wasn't a port nor was it a sequel. It was just the 1st Guitar Hero on the iPhone.
if this plays similarly to undercover for iphone, this is an instabuy! if it's more like shift, meh...
Ugh I hope it isn't on-rails like the last 2 NFS games on the iPhone and has free-roam, just like the PSP version. I also hope that it only works on newer 3rd and 4th gen devices just like FIFA 11. (The cars better have shadows this time, not just reflections on new devices)
ugh They better not use the same engine as the other nfs games. I played and beat both and they were both HUGE disappointment. This is either going to be HUGE bust or the best racing game (besides reckless of course) bottom line is, if this game comes out before Reckless Racing, I am personally going to find out who is responsible for releasing games at EA, go to their house and punch them in the face.
The PSP verisons cost 39.99 when they first come out. The iDevice verisons cost 9.99, or 6.99. In short, the iDevice version will not be free-roam. You can pretty much take that to the bank. You get what you pay for. And you're not going to get a full-featured Need For Speed game for ten dollars or less. Something is going to get cut out from the iDevice version.
People may disagree, but I'll gladly pay 15-20$ for a full version of NFS on the iPhone, please EA, I am begging you, literally!!!!
