I want to see how many people would REGULARLY buy Eliminate energy packs. We would basically be the 'hardcore' gamers of the iDevices.
This poll is a bit too early IMO. We aren`t even sure how much gameplay will be there without using the energy bars or how much time will be added once we do buy the energy. Atleast wait for the game to be released before coming up with such a poll
All that stuff doesn't matter. You will be paying to EARN CREDITS (you can still play the game! Who is really THAT hardcore that they need to play to gain credits every hour of every day?!).
Exactly what I think could be happening here. But still we cant be sure about that until the game is released and played.
Why not just play Nova instead? Hopefully the Nova's online multiplayer will be more than just a 4 player deathmatch for 3 minutes long. Making this free was a bad decision by ngmoco, IMO. I don't think they will make very much money. If spiffyone is reading this, can you please give me your opinion the lack of a price, seeing as know quite a bit about marketing. I'd love to hear your opinion
Has there been a price point announced? Also, what is the min. price on an in-app purchase (is it .99 like the games or less)?
I won't download the game at all, it won't be worth playing a deathmatch with only 4 people. I have a 3gs and why they didn't make another 3gs version with 8 or 16 players online is beyond me. We all know the 3gs can handle it but none of the devs are developing anything that truly takes advantage of the hardware. They would make so much $. This game is not going to succeed IMO.
... ... ... ...ANYWAYS, we would be considered the iDevice's 'hardcore' gamers. After all, we do visit an iDevice gaming forum. I believe the numbers shown on the poll will be the same numbers followed by the consumers, only magnified by thousand.
IF everyone was a 'hardcore gamer', then the real statistics would be represented by this poll quite accurately. But in fact, the poll results are likely to be the best (for ngmoco) that they could actually be when the game comes out, although they won't be similar to this poll because not everyone is a 'hardcore gamer'. Also, I am wondering how many people who voted 'No (One or Twice every Three Months or Fewer)', actually mean 'never' as in 'never, never, ever'. There should be an option for plain 'no'. So, I think the real life stats would look something like this: every day - 1 x 10^-999999 % once a week - 0.5% once a month - 1% never - 98.5% So basically I am saying that ngmoco is probably screwed (unless they get money some other way).
Absolutely serious. It might be fun for a day (maybe 2) and then get deleted like the rest with the exeption of the few good games the device has to offer. I only say a few because if you look at how many games are available only a very small % of them are actually worth looking at and eliminate will not be in that catagory.
THANK YOU! Finally someone agrees. Why not make the app $0.99? Sure you get less downloads per day, but that's good! In the other thread Arn said free apps get >100,000 downloads a day. Did you hear that sound? It was the sound of Eliminate's servers commiting suicide. This will either be, like I said before, lag city, OR, NGmoco will need to find another way to start charging.
