I'm shocked, even a little disappointed, that there's no active topic for this... Who here is buying it? Did any of you go to a midnight launch to pick it up?
No, it's not subscription based. But it's the best RTS there is, and hardcore fans like myself have been waiting for the sequel for 12 years... even though I'm only 16 although I did play my first game of StarCraft when I was 8.
It's just a big deal to me personally, and many others who have spent a lot of time on battle.net. It's just another epic Blizzard game. But I can honestly say that it's probably the best RTS there is.
You're missin out. Well actually, I think I'll be the one missing out on more important things due to the hours I'll have spent playing this.
Yea, school's definitely more important to me too and I'll be working as well, so I'll only be playing on weekends and that'll be it... hopefully...
Was there for midnight release! Installing it now, might get a new computer to be able to play it on max settings
I'm gonna be building a computer soon....I'm proably going to do some gaming...black ops...crysis 2....first person shooters and such...
I played Starcraft 1 a lot with my friends when I was younger. We would all get out of school and we all were in this kind of after school thing where you do homework and chill, and we would always hop on and play starcraft. I will always (partially) remember the code about the Blacksheepwall, and I did love me some starcraft. But lately Im more into consoles as that is where all my friends play, and all I can think about in the game world right now is Marvel vs Capcom 3 (so amazing.) I think I'll pick up SC2 in a few months.
I have to get a whole new graphics card to even play it :l I have a good laptop, but like the worst graphics card. You should leave some impressions of the multiplayer
Guys, if you've never played starcraft you are seriously missing out. In celebration of the SC2 release me and seven friends got together and had an eight-way LAN game that lasted 3 hours. It was some of the most epic videogaming I've ever done. As for Starcraft 2, I'll probably pick it up tomorrow. I'm not quite crazy enough to get it at midnight.
I've never played the original Starcraft but I loved Warcraft III RoC and TFT, especially the multiplayer. Will I be able to understand much of the story and is the multiplayer as customizable as Warcraft III? Also, I don't think it's such a great idea to split the series into 3 parts.
