It is always the case that top companies use one hit to breed another huge hit, like what happened to Nintendo. But I'm wondering what steps Rovio will take in order to continue their success and build their empire.
I'm not convinced yet that Rovio is a "top company". They seem like more of a 1-hit wonder so far. That isn't to say it's a bad thing. I'm sure many devs would love to have just a single wildly successful game.
I thought they said that they were making a game based on the pigs? Maybe I'm wrong. I deleted Angry birds off ipod (8 gig so got to move stuff alot) because it got so boring.
After angry birds? Actually they have been around along time and made alot of games. I think right now they will just relax and just update thier games. They made enough games for a lifetime , now its time to soak up the success of Angry Birds and milk it till its done. Trust me Angry Birds will be around for a long long time.
honestly I bet rovio just milks the crap they named angry birds and then kinda just does a bunch of games with the birds that are crappier. like mario, which led to paper mario, mario galaxy, etc. except angry birds sucks. mario doesn't (and some of the spin offs are decent too).
Wouldn't it be great if they made a game where it had every single level angry birds had, but you had to build the pig's castle in each level to withstand the birds?
They did say last year they were working on a game where instead of being the birds you are the pigs trying to defend your castle and get the eggs.
If so many people don't like Angry Birds and think it's a crap, then why does it always stay on the top charts?
techcrunch "...they are working on a new game called Wine and Dine and a cookbook which will feature egg recipes. But the most what piqued my ears the most was Angry Birds Magic, a location-based platform which will be built into all Angry Birds games...."
They'll laugh all the way to the bank then party with a room full of the world's most attractive people.
