Auto-running platformer? I think in this day and age, asking "worth my money?" for games that cost peanuts (relatively) is pointless. The more important commodity as such is time. There's VERY little to the game. Personally, I would have been INCREDIBLY disappointed if I dropped $5 on it... =o/ Just to be clear, I'm not saying that your work isn't worth it... But some market research would have been a good idea. Compared to other titles it's very bland and 5x the price of your typical runner. Aside from not selling like you want it to, chances are you'll probably also make everyone who does purchase it NEVER want to buy another one of your games again... We know there is a lot of room for improvement and we are working really hard to make it worth your time. We´ll be updating during december and january. Truth to be told we raised the price for a day just to activate pages that track price drops. Nobody bought the game for 4.99 , so no harm done! Game Center is implemented now! Big thanks to everyone that downloaded our game nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #17 nightc1, Dec 18, 2012 Just so I understand how the AppStore works a little better... What is the benefit to a dev of dropping a game like this to free? Is it just getting downloads so it moves up the ranks so folks that pay will see it when it goes back to $0.99 or whatever? Is it just for potential reviews? Just curious. I see a lot of devs re-dropping games to free and will tout how some huge number of people got it for free but only 1% or something actually paid... yet they seem so proud of the big number. I guess if it's just a hobby and you aren't aiming to make money then having folks play your game would be pretty rewarding alone... but it seems like there's more to it than I understand. Any incite would be appreciated. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #18 ninjackid, Dec 18, 2012 LOL! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
