Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #8 Greyskull, Nov 1, 2012 Better than the first in ever way, and TOTALLY worth the money. Most respectable tactical TBS's on ios, whether they cater to a casual or hardcore crowd, go for 2.99 and up. Actually, I never figured out the first one because there were no instructions provided. I didn't know if elevation played any role; whether firing ended movement, etc. I deleted it without ever really playing it. Since this one came with a tutorial and instructions, I could go back and play the first probably. But I'm too busy with the single player campaign now. BTW, a free, demo version of this game was released...I'm not sure, a few days ago I think. So if you aren't sure this is the game for you, try before you buy. dib Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2011 307 0 16 #9 dib, Nov 1, 2012 Nah. Just buy it to support Rubicon. If you end up not enjoying it, then you lost a dollar. You'll probably find another one on the street. I missed it before, maybe this time I'll get it since I am a huge fan of Advance Wars on GBA & DS. Still, Mecho Wars is still free too... which has more in common with the more traditional Advance Wars style. Can anyone tell me the install size of this? It's 120.4MB for the download... just want to make sure it doesn't need some crazy amount of space to install. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #14 awp69, Nov 16, 2012 I'd like to know this as well. I liked the first one, but it was more difficult than it's casual appearance led it to be. Actually found games that appear to be more "hardcore" like Hunters 2 and Tactical Warrior to be easier in terms of difficulty. But the few posts towards the beginning of this thread implying that this is a bit easier and has a more full-fledged tutorial, I might finally bite. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #15 nightc1, Nov 16, 2012 If no one replies with the install size in the next hour I'll probably just bite and then post the size here. There has been a bit of carnage with a bugged update, so we're extending it back over this weekend only now it's fixed. You won't need much more than that 120Mb, all the data is kept compressed. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #17 nightc1, Nov 16, 2012 Thanks. That's what I was hoping. I have a few too many games where the download was ~100MB that ballooned to 600MB after an install. You can +1 to the customer base. .... Verified download size: 120MB + 8.0KB of data Looked like when it downloaded it didn't do the whole "install" that I've seen on many games where you need the download size + the install size worth of space to get the job done. As little as that may seem, I really appreciate that. Can't wait to give this some time this weekend. Thanks for keeping the deal alive.
