Well, here we go gentlemen.

I pretty much completely ignored this game with the previous controls and waited until it was updated, which it has been. And I must comment to the developers of Sector Strike: You've now been welcomed into the shooter community.

I am definitely enjoying this game now that I am able to play it.

Suggestions:

1) Change the icon picture. Of course this is obviously just my opinion, but I think the icon picture is just silly and generic. This is a solid title and it needs to be seriously represented.

2) Make the 'Cannon' upgrades as OPTIONAL for spread shots. Those players like myself that prefer power shots that do not spread are penalized if they upgrade the Cannon weapon. A good example to emulate would be DariusBurst, where there are no spread shots at all, but the shots become layered while still shooting straight.

3)The relative touch controls are the saving grace for this game, but it would be cool if there was a sensitivity option for them as well. I would prefer them to be more sensitive than they are currently.

Keep up the great work!

Ah finally! Been waiting for this update!
This is one of the better non-CAVE shmups on App Store right now.

Really surprised by this game. I downloaded and played it to level 33 in one session, it's extremely well done.

I just saved 2000 Credits and 20 Energy units because I wanted to see how much better one of the other ships were.
Well, I can tell you, it's quite the rip-off, as all you get for saving 20 Energy units, the most rare thing to obtain in the game, as you only see maybe one every friggin four levels, is the same ship in a different color!

That's just bullshit. At least give us the ship for the credits only, even though I would say that a color change on your ship ought to be free.

Early in the game I opted to buy 1000 Credits for $1.99 IAP so I could get an upgrade or two on my ship, and also to get the Tractor Beam, and guess what? It does absolutely nothing either.... Description says it pulls credit towards the ship, and that's just not true.

And the price for that low amount of credits is also way too expensive in my mind.

IMO, if you want to go free and charge for IAP, it ought to be fair prices at least.

I like the game, but I hate the pricing model!

Just wanted to announce that the update containing relative touch controls is live. I know some of you already noticed the update but I wanted to make it official

Btw, thanks for convincing us to add relative touch controls to the game. While some of us at Clapfoot don't prefer this control method, we understand now that its an essential feature for many users.

A note about the alternate ships included in this update... we debated for a long time about whether or not to give the alternate ships special abilities, but we decided in the end to make them a visual upgrade only. We specifically labelled these upgrades "Ship Skins" because we wanted to be clear that they were for visual purposes only. These are similar to the paint jobs you can get on your car in a racing game. There were actually many users asking us for the ability to change the look of their ship. We did our best to satisfy as many users as we could while pushing out an update in a timely manner.

In any case, we want to thank those of you that stuck with the game and waited for the update.

@SumoSplash. Thanks for the additional suggestions.

A fantastic game Clapfoot. Been hooked on this and currently on Sector 42 on Insane mode. I have NOT needed RT for this game and have got to over 83% completion of the game with my thumb like you initially intended. If anything I think RT would be too difficult on this game as you have to move your ship really fast in many directions at some points and don't think I could do it properly just by moving my phone. Would be good if you added new members or more sectors though as all my weapons are almost maxed now. 5 orbs would be pretty nice.
