I got past the 4 arrows quest, and am back to easy quests again, and now things are flowing. I like the quests, but think perhaps you might change the order, or put some intermediate ones in between. And yes, probably reducing the kegs down from 25 would be a good idea, or at least making that quest one of the very last ones.
Still, really enjoying this. Well done! I'll purchase some coins to support. Quote:

Sad to see that there are only 1.800 people on the gc-leaderboard. This game is awesome and free, I play it every day since it was released and try to get a better score.
I have to agree that some missions are very hard (make 25 keys explode in one game), it's almost impossible, 15 would be ok imo |

![]() Thanks, I'm glad you are enjoying the game, I will probably lower that particular quest (to 20) in the next update. |

I enjoyed the game for quite a few hours but eventually it just gets grindy. The game illustrates the fundamental problem with the freemium business model---I got the game for free, and I have no incentive to spend any money on it, because buying gold would just defeat the point of playing the game, which is to make gold. Yet some of the unlocks, like the stronger tower for 20,000 gold, seem way out of reach (I would guess that's more than five hours of play for that one unlock). So how's the developer going to make any money?
The quests are fun, they definitely add to the game, but I think maybe it would be nice to occasionally have them expire and get replaced. Some of them just seem really tough. I've been trying to do "remove 6 horns with one barrel" and "kill 50 enemies with explosions in one round" for hours, now. Exploding 25 barrels would be quite a bit easier than either of these. Eventually, you aren't really going to get any better at the game, the way you get higher scores is to just keep doing quests to keep increasing your multiplier, right? So scores are mostly a function of how long you've played. I'm scoring in the 400,000 to 500,000 range. Obviously this wil keep going up if I keep doing quests. But I feel like I've mostly played the game out at this point. |

This never happened, right? I guess the game was abandoned for lack of income, but I would have bought the coin doubler (or just paid $0.99 or $1.99 to unlock the full game in the first place).

I think it's interesting to compare this game to 10000000, which has (I think) a less interesting concept (it completely lacks the strategy of aiming), and nevertheless was way more successful.
What 10000000 has is a sense of progress (you keep facing new enemies), a sense of resource management (you pick up items and get to save them to use strategically), individually shorter play sessions (each run is just a couple of minutes). A lot of those things could have been in this game. This isn't meant to be a complaint; as I say, I think it's a great concept, and well executed to. The physics model works well, in my opinion. What's missing are some aspects of overall game design and flow. |
