But the audio and visuals are so darn good, makes this really pleasant to play. This is combo with the gameplay results in a game with a really nice flow. bigrand1 Well-Known Member Apr 23, 2010 4,968 6 38 Geriatric Party Animal California, USA #3 bigrand1, May 18, 2016 Hmmm. Looks like a pretty good auto runner high score chaser kinda game! I would like to have an alternate control scheme with tap left/right for movement and swipes only for jump and fire. Ringerill Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2012 315 170 43 #6 Ringerill, May 19, 2016 Last edited: May 19, 2016 I Totaly agree on this point! It's not always responsive and in a reflex based game like this it's not a cool thing. Also I understand that you have to put songs by default but what if I don't really like that genre? Would it be possible to use my own music instead? I especially mention that because when you lose you have to play right from the beginning so I really hope you like the first song because you'll hear it every time you play. Yes there is a Challenge mode where you can chose your song but I didn't buy it yet so I don't know if you replay the same song again and again of if you simply play the chosen song and try to make a 100% perfect run. Also to notice, I though I would be moving according to the brats but in fact it's more the "beats" who are disposed according to the rhythm. Interesting idea but it makes slow music really hard to play because before you accumulate enough energy to charge up a slot, a new enemy might appear. It is in fact a nice idea for making hard levels where you have to gather everything you can and aim well, but it feels strange to be in a tense moment with a relaxing music in the background : it should be the other way around. But overall, the gameplay is like the other auto runners with 3 lanes (change the lane, jump, and fire behind are the 3 main movements). The graphics are really pleasing, simple but it gives a certain ergonomy. Only problem would be the lack of feeling the relation between player movements and music. And maybe also the songs (8 in total if I'm correct) but it could be arrange if we can use our own music (I really don't like that type of music but even that makes me like the game anyway). I'll definitely keep that game and see how it evolves. chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #7 chief78, May 19, 2016 Nice vid touchy, a pro as always. The timing looks off....can't tell if that's a slight delay in audio to video. Ringerill, thanks for the in depth imps. I'm wondering if what I saw in the vid is a weird delay from beat to input, which would go along with what u stated. Idk, I kind of want to find this on itunes now....surprised they wouldn't put this out as a soundtrack sarfa Well-Known Member Mar 18, 2014 90 2 8 #8 sarfa, May 19, 2016 For some reason I don't have any music? Anyone else have this problem? I'm on iPhone 6s. chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #9 chief78, May 19, 2016 I didn't have music until I hit the first zone. U have to play thru the tutorial and then pass a checkpoint and then the music begins. On another note, controls feel spot-on. No lags from swipes, no missed inputs from my playthrough, and the only timing required is literally from jumps and left/right swipes, and there is no down swipe needed from what I've experienced. Played into the 3rd song on story and got crushed pretty quick. The difficulty ramps up fast. Good game though, I can't really fault what's here, although an option to play from ur library seems like a must have Rainbite New Member May 19, 2016 3 0 0 Auckland, New Zealand #10 Rainbite, May 19, 2016 Downloaded this about 30 minutes ago, it plays great. I also didn't have music until after the tutorial, would be cool to have at least a drum beat in that spot but not a big deal. Really good job! baldeagle86 Well-Known Member Dec 21, 2013 737 0 0 #11 baldeagle86, May 19, 2016 Really digging this one, just having some response issues like others. Kinda wish you could hold your finger down for some spots and just slide back and forth. Oh well, it's just too good to let that get in the way! Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #12 Exact-Psience, May 19, 2016 Looks great, but as others mention, the lane switch animation kinda gives a delay in swipe response. One thing that annoys me are all the opt-in ads. They're tempting, and i have watched 4 ads in my first 3 or 4 runs already. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #13 touchy85, May 19, 2016 Not really sure what you mean, but the audio is the same on my device as on the video. Kind of feels like the music is not that big part of the level design, more like background music. For me it pretty much plays the same with music off. forsakenxe Well-Known Member Oct 23, 2014 709 0 16 #14 forsakenxe, May 19, 2016 I agree on what most people say: This game looks beautiful, it sounds good and for me the controls are extremely, responsive so I am baffled at this issue. I had multiple situations where I kinda gave up on swiping up in time in my head (cause I am used to trying out betas where the controls are pretty unresponsive) and it worked flawlessly every time. Only gripe is that sometimes I accumulate 300-400 combos and then I make one mistake to get insta one shot by the newly approaching car. I would love to have one shot taken away from you upon a hit and not all available, cause you are sitting at 3 mist of the time anyways. The cost of new cars seems a little bit steep but the gameplay is really good and it feels like an incredible smooth experience, try it out, Jayg2015 Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2015 3,734 41 48 Male Player 1 Liberty city #15 Jayg2015, May 19, 2016 Game of the week nod Delusionaltool Well-Known Member Sep 24, 2009 1,675 42 48 ohio #16 Delusionaltool, May 20, 2016 Last edited: May 20, 2016 First beautiful game awesome soundtrack. Now i had a idea for a new mode. It feels so much like a rhythm runner! And ive not seen one before quite like this. Here is my suggestion cause i swear it feels like the beat and music is made by me on how when you swipe to the beat with picking up orbs perfectly. So check this out how about a mode where the music does not play however it plays as you pick up the orbs as they are the different instruments and sounds to the song kinda like dj hero only its you making the music with your car grabbing orbs. And you can even add lines for multipliers etc. and it could have leaderboards with completion percentage! dude it would be like a new game how awesome does this sound??? Could have more cars, more music, more tracks and the faster songs are harder and faster. Id add a sensitivity to the swipe oh man i am getting excited thinking about it! You guys could pull it off and it sell well. cadillackills Well-Known Member Jul 12, 2015 148 0 0 #17 cadillackills, May 20, 2016 Nothing to complain about. Great work, downloaded it for the song alone. Only 1 in-app purchase, .99? F2P done right. I'm getting Rush Rally 2 today, but leftovers for these guys. Thank you! LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,286 1 38 #18 LordShad0wz, May 21, 2016 I really like this game. The only reason I took off a star is because I'd like to contribute financially but there is no currency doubler in app purchase. There are only consumables. I would purchase a currency doubler in a heartbeat. The other very super minor thing would be I kinda wish instead of swiping we could just move the finger back and forth in one motion and still leave the swipe up and down. But this is minor. I love the music and graphics. If the dev reads this help me give you some money by putting in a restorable currency doubler. Billy Jayg2015 Well-Known Member Jan 5, 2015 3,734 41 48 Male Player 1 Liberty city #19 Jayg2015, May 21, 2016 Yep game of the week for me. Not a single complaint mcamp Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2010 61 2 8 #20 mcamp, May 21, 2016 It's pretty, but the music gets tiresome and repetitive quickly, the gameplay is utterly dull, and my apparent task is to collect "beats" that don't make a sound. Deleted. I desperately wish Rez would get ported to mobile. I'd love to play a rhythm game that's actually good, one in which the music is integral to the experience, rather than tacked on as an afterthought. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
