His thick armor allows him to brush off their attacks even when surrounded by 20-30 at once... Spider: A quick, high damage but vulnerable assassin from the Widow Clan, who has joined the trio of heroes for his own secret reasons. His attacks can devastate single, high HP targets and cut through armor like butter, but are not so great vs masses of smaller enemies where he can easily be overwhelmed. Ant: One of the few remaining ants not a slave, Ant is an engineer and ranged specialist, using advanced technology and gadgets to set up defenses or fire away at long range. He relies on his skills and equipment perhaps more then the other heroes, and like Spider, can easily be overwhelmed if not managed carefully. As always, questions and feedback is much appreciated Ant is geared up and ready to rock. A streak of electricity shoots out from a nearby Zapper Turret. 3D. We packed a lot of details and unique animations in this game and can't wait to release gameplay screenshots and videos. We also have managed to drastically improve the graphics from N.Y.Z while keeping the potential for a ton of enemies on screen, even running on the old iphone 3G. Also I definitely want to point out that this is not a typical dual stick shooter... in our eyes its just a familiar control scheme that just works. The game itself has so much more to it then typical shooters...
I just hope the animation of that big green slime monster is better in the game then in that trailer.
Haha, that's a stylized slug... and you try moving when you're just a giant blob with no legs... I'm sure you'd look awkward too They're actually primarily a long ranged unit in the game though.
I hope that shows enough... shouldn't it moove more like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEto1-ZTbd4&feature=fvw
Haha... in the actual animation he's lunging forward in a full charge Come on man... Sure we could make it realistic and have the slug move .00000001 mph, but that would be just as stupid haha. And no to the snake movements... a slug really doesnt move its body at all in real life, but since we had to make something up, I envisioned more of an inch worm type movement then a snake. Oh well... he sits back and launches slime from long range in the actual game.
We are about 2 months into development... unfortunately I don't want to end up kicking myself in the foot later by giving a release timetable.
The slug animation seems fine to me. This game seems like something I would like. I can't wait to find out more about it.
Great trailer! Loved N.Y.Zombies, so will be keeping an eye on this. Nothing to add to the slug animation debate though, sorry.
Haha thanks... what good are you??! Next week we'll be profiling some of the heroes with another short trailer.
N.Y. Zombies was great so I'll be sure to keep an eye on this and anything you guys make in the future. Looks really cool so far.
