How re-playable is this? I can see that there's a campaign, but how different would each playthrough be of that? Or if it has some kind of skirmish mode?

It has a skirmish mode and multi-player.

I don't really know what to say, I literally never play skirmish in games. But there are 4 factions and 4 modes like capture, mastering, destruction and denomination. And you have to clear the objective in 6,8 or 10 turns. It looks like there are 4 difficulty modes. When you start skirmish you can select a number of points you can spend max. Each ship you select costs points, so you have to make decisions what kind of fleet you need to beat the objective. The actual gameplay of the skirmish mode is pretty similar to the campaign missions.
