Mine will be: 1. World of Goo (if it comes out) 2. Death Rally (WHEN it comes out) 3. Hot Springs Story 4. Rainbow 6 5. Land-a Panda
Hey now. Game of the month polls are my job around here. Anyway, Mission Europa wins in my book by far. Even with the current random crashes its in my top 3 all time iOS games. I have already put 20 hours into that game and am not even halfway through. I have Hot Springs Story and haven't touched it because of M.E. and I was addicted to Game Dev Story when it came out.
"Other" option is too ambiguous. I probably should have omitted the pinball game because it just came out but I wanted to capture as many game types as possible. It is subjective, but I picked the games I believed were most eligible
Too subjective..4 of these games I deleted instantly (under 10 minutes). I guess I'll go with FF3, followed by ME, followed by R6.
Isnt it still a little early to do voting with the upcoming thursday bringing a few notable games and still being march ?
Wasn't aware of that. Maybe we'll take the top 5-6 within here and make a new one with new additions and other games people have said were wrongfully omitted. I am a bit hesitant to include games at the very end of the month because their novelty often overshadows other great games that came out at the beginning of the month. I guess the best way would be to have the "Best of March" in early to mid April, but I had nothing better to do at the moment.
Deleted: -6th Planet -War Pinball -Overkill -Falling Fred Replacements: -Other (You can't have a poll without this option.) (iStunt 2, Mr. Ninja, Lane Splitter, Bird Zapper, Liqua Pop etc.) -Fight Night?!?!?! (Best of its genre by far on the iOS. No other game honestly even comes close.) -Land-a Panda (It's amazing, cute, people like it, etc.) -Max and the Magic Marker/Robot Wants Kitty (both excellent platformers) And you're definitely correct in your most recent post that we should wait until early April before making this thread/poll like TA usually does. Really hoping The Relic and World of Goo will be out.
Fight Night was considered but wasn't too impressed with it and this forum hasn't discussed it that much. You are the first to mention it in this thread. I've never heard of Max and the Magic Marker. I should have included Land a Panda based on the responses. And "Other" is just too generic, I prefer people just saying what should have been included. For the most part, I think I've been on point with the options. These will always be subjective with only 10 options. I am a bit surprised that there are no votes for Falling Fred though!
March was AWESOME! Had to go with Mission Europa. Long story + good gameplay = WINNING! I'm surprised Robot Wants Kitty isn't up there. That would've probably been my runner up. Awesome platformer with an amazing level editor. Its funny, I thought that KAMI RETRO would take the cake (came out the first week of march), but who knew that in the following two weeks that we'd see Mission Europa, Final Fantasy 3, Angry Birds Rio, Robot Wants Kitty, Hot Springs Story, Rainbow Six, and so many others! March was really a great month. And now that I look at it, so were the last 2. We just got 3 straight months of amazing releases! oooh! I can't wait til April!
Yeah, it just keeps getting better. My game backlog has reached epic proportions. On the weekdays I sit in the train for the first 10 minutes just trying to decide what to play! Anyways, I'll have to check out Robot Wants Kitty, hadn't heard of it and I love platformers.
