I'm interested in playing a game with a really good story like Phoenix Wright. I don't care if it's a visual novel (just reading, no gameplay), I'm just interested in something that will really pull me into the story. Any good ones?
1000 post, congrats. I would recommend Pocket God; the only story where you choose everyone's actions, but the ending is always the same!
So very bad... I think I'd actually pay full DS prices for them, if I could get my hands on them right now
Monkey Island! Personally I liked the first one a lot more than the second story-wise but hey you may think differently. Both great games and well worth your money though.
Chaos Rings (Pretty good story, but you'd have to play through the game 4 times from 4 different points of view to get the full story, so some people think it's repetitive). Monkey Island (Extremely comical, doesn't take itself seriously at all). Space Miner (Simple and comical, but quite entertaining as a story nonetheless. Not a game you'd want to miss out on anyway).
The Broken Swords, Beneath a Steel Sky, The Monkey Islands all have great stories, IMHO which are also brilliantly voice-acted. Among non point-and-click adventures I agree that Space Miner is very well-written and funny and Highborn is pretty decent too, also in an over-the-top humorous way. Ash also has a relatively decent and twisty story, OTOH one needs to be a retro-JRPG fan to get through the gamey part. I have only started Chaos Rings, so can't say anything about the story - writing is decent so far.
I am liking it, but not for the story, that's for sure. Mobbing and catfights just aren't as interesting as the devs seem to think and of course Engrish...
