This game is badass. I would be satisfied if I paid $1.99 for it.
I don't get the Ziggurat comparison, personally. The gameplay is more complex.

After updating the game, my highscores still keep disappearing from the GameCenter leaderboards. I just did a 144 second run and was registered for a few minutes. Now it's already gone again. It's still listed as the internal highscore in the game, though.

Same here, my hi-score doesn't show up on GC leaderboard too. Already tried to delete the game n re-install it, but give the same result. Also, tried to delete the progess but nothing changed..

Been thinking a bit about this and asking around.

General consensus is that it's currently impossible for us developers to remove a score from a leaderboard, so whatever is causing the score to disappear must be triggering from apple's side.

This seems far-fetched but it seems that sometimes, when you have a bad internet connection and the score can't be submitted immediately, your score gets cached for a while (so it'll appear in the leaderboard) and then re-submitted later. If the score can't be submitted successfully after a while, game center just gives up and removes your score.

Anyhow, I've submitted a bug report to apple and hopefully they'll give us more information.

I'm not even sure why I'm doing this because I'm only getting about 20 (free) downloads a day but giving it away during 15 days for free seems generous enough.

It's really a shame it doesn't get downloaded more. I think this game is a genuinely new design with some great ideas. I also like how everything is strongly connected to the timer. Besides the obvious countdown it serves as (kind of) your HP and on top of that your score is simply your time survived. It's all really focused and tightly put together. Also, the enemies are somewhat ambiguous, because most of them can kill you, but at the same time you need them to not just sink into the lava. I really, really like this game.
