This used to be owned by Chillingo, but the contract ran out and the developers have taken it back and are self-publishing it instead. There are opening screen ads, but nothing too obnoxious, and hints IAP. The game is being released temporarily free only till 4th April 23:55 Hours PST (the developer extended the sale!), and the additional chapters, which you'll find in the in-game store, are free during that time as well. If you want this, download and install it now, then open up the store (found under options) and grab chapters 2, 3, and 4 while they're free too. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #2 nightc1, Apr 4, 2013 I grabbed the iPhone version... it's almost done downloading, I'll grab the other chapters asap. Early on the game has a lot of voice acting but then that goes away as the main game kicks in to gear (it said it would return though). The overall graphics are top of the line, and even on the small screen it's not a pain to find the hidden money in each scene or complete puzzles and stuff. I think the game is probably very kid friendly, but maybe more a 10 year old than a 5 year old. Still, plenty of reading in there too so I'm going to hook my kids up and see how the younger two do. I was concerned for a moment about the IAP chapters because the download got corrupted and failed. But I was trying to do that over 3G because my iPhone has a wireless issue. But after putting the phone in the freezer for 10 min, my wifi was back long enough to restart the download and get it completed in a mater of a couple minutes. Overall a pretty nice little game. Oddly, there's no second path to get the textures... so I guess I'll have to fiddle with iFunBox and a redownload and stuff to get the textures and all IAP on there (unless there's a restore purchases option). I'm not complaining, the base non-retina art work is mighty nice. Can anyone comment? nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #18 nightc1, Apr 4, 2013 Since I've already got them, I can't see them in the app at the moment. I'll download it with one of my kids ipods when I get home and see... so maybe an hour and a half. Oddly though on the website for the game they list the game as being free for 2 days. Maybe they freaked out because the app was free and the IAP chapters? So, yeah, I'll check unless someone can do it before I can. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #19 nightc1, Apr 5, 2013 Nope IAP is now 0.99 for Chapter 2, or $1.99 for the combo of Chapters 2, 3, & 4. I'm trying to see if restore purchases works for the free IAP earlier and it's just spinning the loading icon after putting in my iTunes pwd. So I guess it's good I can backup stuff with iFunBox to my PC. CygnetSeven Well-Known Member Feb 6, 2010 7,580 27 48 #20 CygnetSeven, Apr 5, 2013 Thanks for the reply.
