You can also claim parody or fair use of the word under the First Amendment if your app is satirical in nature.
That's how people can get away with creating apps that make fun of celebrities, like Justin "Beaver". SNL makes fun of the Olympics every time it comes around, and they can't do a thing about it. |

If you want to further secure your use of the world "Olympic", maybe show some mountains in the graphics,
or say something like "Olympic Pandaboy" comes from "Mount Olympus" or something like that. And never directly mention the words "Olympic Games". |

Yep, contacting with the devs of Finger Olympic game http://www.fingerway.com/pw/catalogo...&cat2=0&cat3=0 made it clear that we will have to avoid mentioning Olympic words and symbols in both the game and description to stay safe.
So, we switched to Plan B. Hopefully it will work. Now I am worried more that we discovered a bug that needs fixing. Damn... |
