No, you absolutely don't need to block the town. Having your income too low just means your adventurers aren't strong enough to kill enough monsters and that your buildings aren't upgraded enough yet to get that money efficiently. To increase income, do the following: gift better weapons and armor, upgrade the cost and appeal of your buildings, and use the stat-increasing events like weight lifting. Before long you'll be overwhelmed with money.

I've used up both save slots and want to play a new game. There's no option to erase an old save file. Is there a way to start a new file without deleting and reinstalling?

Great game. It's tough to increase income while trying to get the fifth star. Im in 8th year.

My only complaint is that the leveling is going pretty slow and it will be a long time before I can see what other jobs I can get. I was on my 3rd star by the time I discovered that I can now change jobs(almost getting the final star). So I wish leveling was more faster so i can see what else I can unlock while trying to get all 5 stars in the shortest time possible.

Questions:

One of my character is maxed out so how do you change job? I accidentally "cancel" the option to change jobs after someone leveled up. It seemed like I cant find that option.

Secondly, does this game runs forever or have time limit like the Game Dev Story?

Menu -> Info -> Adventurers -> choose one and scroll down to find the change job option.

Yes it has a time limit, I don't remember what year it ends in though. 16 maybe?
