Seems the same to me as my iPad 1. It was never all that great, but good enough for me to play games and watch Netflix. I'll use headphones to listen to music and play synths.

Thanks. The speaker on my 3GS, iPad 1 and iPad 2 all got broken within months. Distorts really easily, lower volume output and so on.

I hope they improve em on the iPad 5 and make it stereo having one grill on each side in landscape mode, letting the user switch l/r channels in the fast switch bar.

I think this thread is dead by now. And I think it was a resounding success. For all iPad 3 related things. Many kudos to Connector for this. It wouldn't have been possible without him. We should definitely try it again on the next iPad launch.
