What football games would you recommend for someone who has never played or had interest in it before, but now wants to learn the ropes?

X2 Football. It's simple and easy yet still feels like playing football as opposed to stupid arcade that is Real Soccer.

Once you get bored and feel like mastering the game already, you can upgrade to FIFA 10.

Madden. Then backbreaker football. Then NFL 2010. It's just that bad. Madden is far more polished as well

:D To plug our own game :D If your interested in a more casual football game then you could try Super Shock Football, which mimic the retro style vibrating football games from the 50's.

hmm... i prefer NFL 2010. Not quite as polished as Madden, but much cheaper. It's a good buy.

How about Super Shock Football by Chillingo. It's free at the moment.

I already picked up super shock football, thanks for the suggestion. Do you really think Madden is good for football newbies? I know it's popular with the hardcore fans...

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
Go for the free version of NFL 2010. Pretty fun for a demo, but it doesn't let you play past 3 minutes... It's a good way to see if you like football games though.
