Hi TA fans from TPG! Here are a few teaser shots from our upcoming game Neon Shadow. Neon Shadow is a FPS that was first conceived as an OUYA gamejam type of effort by one of our programmers and a few of our artists here at TPG (link) This was so much fun we decided to put it into production. We are one month into development and hope to release the first version in 1-2 months. Our goal for NS was to challenge ourselves with a tight schedule without sacrificing the quality and polish TPG is known for, and so far we are on track! Our inspirations came mostly from Doom and Quake for gameplay; Deus Ex and Mass Effect for art. The first version/episode of NS will be single player with future plans to make it multiplayer co-op and then multiplayer PVP. Throughout this ongoing project more levels, weapons and enemies will be produced. Initial plans would be to make this an affordable premium title with no plans for IAPs. We will keep you updated each week with our progress, and hope to get a bunch of feedback / questions from all you FPS players. Cheers! and Ka-boom!!! (Shotgun sound that is heard all over the office lately...) Steve TPG coffee fetcher / robot destroyer.
Thanks! Love you too! We hope to bring the fun aspect like the ol' shooters we lurv so much. We will of course have eye candy used with extreme prejudice! So yes we are concentrating on a "nice and simple" FPS. Brutes, flying types, fast crawlers, a heavy type and a boss for now. Its Sci Fi so these will all be mechanoids. More images and progress reports next week! Steve TPG
This looks great, I can't get enough FPS's on iOS! I've never heard of TPG, but you sound like a great developer, so I'm gonna go check out y'all's stuff. Any planned release date yet?
We will be hitting Beta in 2 weeks 2-3 weeks after that we will be wrapping up the first release... 1-2 weeks in review with Apple... so... 5-7 weeks? Lets call it 9 Weeks to account for Murphy's law. (That man and his laws...) Yes sir! It does indeed. Steve (just Steve) TPG
As promised, our weekly update! Our schedule is still on track without much slave whipping going on, unless asked for by the sicko's that work here. Here is one of our flying enemies. If we could post the sound you would hear how creepy these things are dropping out of the ceilings at you. We are in a debate right now over a name for these buggers. Post replies and we will put it to a studio vs player challenge poll! Steve bizzzzzzzzzzzz! wrrr! wrrr! bizzzzzzzz! TPG
Personally I would call this drone as I believe it is from the photo a long name of some sort such as the RSX9PT battle drone but then my mind would tell me a nickname was better so you could try something like The dragonfly but I don't know I'm not really skilled at naming stuff normally but these are just some examples.
Thursday update is here! (Drums roll, Fanfare.... fans... toot?) Latest shot of the WIP. More environment, better shotgun texture, added flying drone and lots of stuff under the hood! Stuff the human eye just can't see. (Magic I think...) We are going with The DXR1-DRAGONFLY. Thinking the crawlers can be called SRB12-SCARAB... any other ideas? Steve. (Robot namer!)
I got to play this yesterday, and its really fun. I will be publishing it on Crescent Moon. I'm also trying to convince them to add multiplayer for launch, but we'll see.
Use the ravensword. Good for negotiations. Any ho, looks good. I like to ode to doom in the interface.
abandoned space station, taken over by alien robots. security guard is on case! actually I have no idea what it is yet.
