Currently I'm getting annoyed with any applications that called "a xxx".
For example: "a Jewel Sodoku" because I find many of those apps are poorly made (I'm not saying all of them, but in the most case, around 95%).

As a result, I'm ending up with totally ignoring those apps as long as I find the name is in "a xxx" pattern. This is my experience, hope it helps.

Anyone has the same feeling here?

I mean when I' browsing app store to seek new application to buy, I usually ignore any application that is named as "a xxx(something)", for example: "a mirror", "a daisy peg" because my experience tells me that most of those applications with such name pattern are poorly made.

it's because they want to be at the top of the alphabetical list... not relying on game quality for selling success.

    Doing nothing of importance.
    Somewhere
I agree completely. It's almost like they're advertising the low quality of their app. Even if it is high quality, I'm always turned away from an app a bit when it has "A (fill in blank)" as a name... Same thing with the ones titled "i____", although a few good ones turned out from that one, such as iDracula and iZombieland.

He's talking about apps that have their name start with "A". For example "A Great iPhone Game", "A Nother Silly Game", etc. The devs of these apps name them "A (something)" in order to appear first in alphabetical app store listings in hopes just showing up early in the lists will sell their apps. It's typically the mark of a low quality app and no marketing experience whatsoever. A poor combination but it caters to the "lowest common denominator" of app store shoppers.

And those of you who thought this thread would be about porn should know better. How long would a thread like that survive here? 5 minutes?

In Engllish: App names preceded by the word "A" are generally low quality.

    Australia, mate!
I find that apps with the name "iName" to be poorly developed, that is, except for iDracula.
