It's most likely a port of their WiiWare game, details over here.
What seemed middling on the console might work much better on a portable platform like the iPhone.

I don't know.. shooting with the wiimote is fun, but tapping (or maybe tilting) doesn't seem quite the same thing

An implementation of shooting as in Silent Hill where one uses the accelerometer to aim and tapping the back of the phone with a finger to "pull the trigger" may create a better challenge and a closer "gun" simulation than simply tapping the screen.

I've got the wiiware version. Its a nice game, short and simple but fun too. Plus the high scores are hard to beat! Works well on that platform with the wiimote, but not sure about Touch controls. Will have to wait and see...

looks like another taps ahoy mates. :( I wish they had used Sillet Hill's method for aiming and shooting. This just seems too easy and with out challenge

If it is just as polished as the WiiWare version, I think this could be great for an introductory of $4.99.

EDIT: Oops, just saw the trailer. I'm not even interested. Come on!

"Another one bites the dust." LOL. Really?

Eh, no, not interested. It's just a rehashed concept in a different flavor.
