Please list them all. Give us an idea of the casualties. ( here is a tissue) Serious face, I am ready
Apple has included a new Settings pane in iOS 10.3 to easily check for installed 32-bit apps, and to see if there are updates available. To check, open Settings. Tap on General. Tap on About, and select Applications. This brings up a list of the installed apps that are 32-bit. 32 bit games still work on 10.3 but should be gone with ios11 so far I can report all games i have tried work fine, also since they upgraded the file system you should have more space post update
I did this and among the games listed as 32 bit was final fantasy tactics sure hope square updates it soon CHRONO trigger and secret of mana are fine
works fine! when 11.0 hits it will be broken if not fixed 10.3 is fine its 11.0 that some will not want to update to
Xcom Hard tales Brand new boy Those game are going to be broken by iOS 11 Man Xcom is gonna be a goner for sure. And I forgot about strangers wrath
Street fighter IV bolt will be broken too, and even though I don't own it, I'm pretty sure Street fighter collection will also break on ios 11. Alien vs Humans is going to be updated according to developers, so that's a nice XCOM alternative that will work for sure on ios 11. AppShopper and the TA app will say bye bye too. Does anyone know about SNK games? I'm interested in their Metal Slug and fighting games, but I won't buy them if they're not ready for ios 11. The problem is that until you try them, you don't know if they're ios 11 ready or not.
Yeah yeah I know I'm lazy but I took screenshots of the settings page with all the 32bit apps I have installed. They're not all games but most are.
I want to cry and laugh at the same time (not really) , can't say that I have not expected this.Luckily I'm using iPad 4 so it cannot possibly be updated to iOS 11,so if you own 32 bit devices, you better buy Baldur's gate series (maybe it will be updated,I think it will be,BG 1 and BG 2 WILL SUPPORT 64-BIT , THAT'S OFFICIAL) , Slitherine games (I think they are 32 bit, yes,BA and BA 2 are definitely 32 bit) , xcom, etc ASAP. Oh and Epoch 2 is 64 bit actually, well at least it says so in the 2013 update description. I guess that this is it,we can only watch it all burn but at least I have a late 2013 Mac to game on,I have not bought any gaming/working/studying device for myself since then so...yeah,well,i'm sure that you guys have many other devices to play.I'm sure that situation is not dire,no,it's all ruined for us,for people who have already grown accustomed to mobility of iOS devices.I saw this coming a year ago, many did,but of course nobody was really worried until now.
Of the apps I have installed, the following are listed as 32-bit with no 64-bit update available: Touch Arcade app Castle Doombad The Cave FTL Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes Shadowrun: Dragonfall (and I assume the first one as well) Space Hulk Xcom (both games)
I must be delusional because I really feel this can't/won't happen. On my iPad alone I have hundreds of games listed that are 32bit. This move would make so many of my purchases useless garbage. I feel that this is unethical.
I see games like FTL being updated if/when they break. They have been consistently updating their app Xcom most likely not, as it's 2K and they have a terrible track record.
Apple is still selling 32bit apps right? What is going to happen when they become broken by ios 11? Those apps have only a few months left before they become completely obsolete. That is horrible for the consumer. It would make more sense to remove those apps from the app store and make ios 12 64bit only. There needs to be a large interim period for people still buying 32bit apps. Like a year.
