Great, another company doing the whole "let's release our old game as a new app with prettier graphics" thing instead of updating the original version.

If anyone here got this can you let us know how many achievements it has in Game Center?

The original iPhone version is really good. Thinking about getting this one.

It's not really a new app with prettier graphics - it just got ported, which makes sense, since that will make them more money than updating the original. And maybe if they can make money from this version, they can go back and update the iphone version.

Hey guys, just noticed this thread and thought I'd chime in.

We are indeed releasing the new map for the original version of Dungeon Defense as a free update, it's just a few weeks behind the HD release so hold tight.

cool - so is it a static map, or is it actually the randomized one you were working on before?

Default Game Impressions

I am bumping the thread because this is on sale for 99 cents. I picked it up despite mixed reviews on the App Store. Based on the reviews, it appears that the developer has angered some users, but I already own and love two of their other games. That was the main reason I decided to get this, since I do not typically enjoy TD style games. However, I love this one.

It is a lot of fun and seems to do things right. For instance, it allows you to pause or speed put the action, which is critical of you're repaying a level for the 10th time. The graphics are nice, the setting is one I enjoy and there are multiple difficulties. I highly recommend it, particularly on sale!

On sale for a buck yet again. I'm tempted, because I definitely got my bucks worth out of the iPhone version; but both appear to have been abandoned; no updates since 2010.
