You know its good when they rip off the cover art of the ancient PC game, Chess Master 3000 for what looks like a unimaginative Bejeweled clone.

It was actually meant as a joke (the old man was hand draw, but apparently the artist did his job a little to good).

There is a lot of other references in the game, but yes, It is another match 3.

The twist here is that you can customize your board (that's the joke with the old man on the cover, loved this feature from that game).

Really, if too many people feel offended by it, we can just change the cover. We did think only a handfull of people would recognize him and get the joke, we are not trying to trick anyone here.

Now an honest question, using this as a discussion board, you guys really think we should change the game cover?

I'd recommend using a unique character in the same pose. You'll get your reference and add your own flavor to the game, without causing anyone to assume plagiarism.

Man, that art. As a retro game collector, I must have seen it a thousand times while trawling yard sales, store bins, and auction sites. I think it was ported to nearly every platform under the sun, back in the day.

I'm envisioning the gem bursting out of his forehead and thinking he must have quite the headache!
