Hi Toucharcaders I am happy to exclusiely announce the details of our next game, Touch Football - to be know as Touch Soccer in some territories. It is a gesture based 1st person 5-a-side Football (Soccer) game, where the player flicks a ball around the pitch and uses swipeing or the accelerometer to run. We are still working on nailing down the full spec, but we have got far enough with game to give you a video preview. Please be aware that this is work in progress - but we are happy to say that flicking the ball into the top corner, or in of the post is as satisfying as we hoped! There's a better quality video here: http://www.apptheater.com/video/1118/Touch-Football Otherwise here's the YouTube version ... Cheers Morgan
oh wow this is very unique! i love how the game play works by using your finger to run and shoot, and the artwork fits the game perfectly IMO! great work guys, im looking forward to it
The name of the game is not yet set in stone either, we are trying to decide between Flick Football Touch Football / Flick Soccer Touch Soccer what do people think? cheers Morgan
About the name: Freeverse has been releasing a series of sports games under the general title of Flick Sports (Flick Fishing, Flick Bowling, Flick NBA etc.) for a while now. I doubt that they can claim trademark on the word "flick," but you may want to find a different name to avoid confusion. Looks like a cool game, by the way.
They probably could trademark it, i dont know if they have officially TMed their other titles, but its something to think about. If we settle for Flick Football, then i'd definately do a TM check for them. Glad you think it looks cool, its coming along nicely. We will be looking for beta testers soon no doubt. Not to mention asking what features people would like to see. thanks Morgan
A football is POINTY were a soccer ball is ROUND Europeans seem to have trouble understanding that simple fact.....
Thanks. Where are you based, we will probably realease as Flick/Touch Soccer in the US, AUS, NZ and some other territories, and Football for the rest.
Wow! That looks like tons of fun! Be sure to keep us updated so I can run and buy this one as soon as it's released He's from India. I believe it's called football there, but I'm not sure
I'm from India but have a US iTunes account. And i guess it's called Soccer only in US. We call it football here.
