This 'could' be brilliant, cant get any worse than most of those other Star Wars games on iOS , most of which are very poor. But i wont cross my fingers, will be a long time coming but will be good when it does one day happen
Just an x-wing vs tie-figher on iOS would make my century. I would pay $15 for that. With gyro/accelerometer would be perfect for that. I really don't understand why they haven't released another space sim game like that. It certainly would be a big seller.
I don't understand what the point of a Lego Star Wars game utilizing the Unreal Engine would be. Cute Lego graphics don't require the expertise of a graphics-intensive engine like Unreal to achieve. Star Wars as a gaming franchise has missed the mark more times than not. Other than Battlefront, there's a lot of failure going on here. The word is something new is in the works, based on established characters. I'm surprised LucasArts hasn't tried a hardcore fps shooter based on the Star Wars universe yet. They might go in that direction. Nothing sells better on consoles right now than a fps. Third person shooters, which is what most Star Wars games end up being, seems to be a tough sell these days.
I don't get the whole lego * thing. Once I played one of those games half way through I was done with the whole genre. Bring back the old star wars games like x-wing and tie fighter. Those were a lot of fun but VERY hard to want to play them now on the PC with the graphics extremely outdated.
Maybe we will finally get a good fps. That crappy eliminate clone a while ago sucked, but I would love it if we got a good star wars fps out of this. Just think... Stormtrooper Zombie Mode!!!
Give me Battlefront with multiplayer, and I promise I won't play a Gameloft shooter ever again..even if it's just the first one!
Anything Battlefront related would be good. Or Rogue Squadron. Flying over Tattooine in an X-Wing would sure bring back a lot of good memories.
Maybe this one will bridge the gap between Scene 23 and Scene 24 of The Empire Strikes Back. The untold story of when C3P0 was...a Jedi
