This game is really good but it's going to find itself very unbalanced very quickly. Anyone with money to buy power packs to play the game will have a massive advantage over passing players. Already I've been up against a dude with a rocket lancher and some crazy armour. It's was nearly impossible to kill him.
Also, 3 three minute games per battery charge isn't really enough. You should get more 6 or 7 games per charge.

Ngmoco appearantly doesn't realise that a greedy variant of a pay to play game usually isn't a succes. They also don't realise that games that allow people to pay 30USD to get 975:4=243,75 3 minute lasting games= 243,75 x3=731,25 minutes=12 hours, 11 minutes and 25 seconds of playtime / (975x1000=975000)sorry, made a little mistake there. 120PC=1000CR so (975:120)x1000= the amount of credits=8125CRcredits, aren't really games that people like.

Just let people pay a monthly fee(6USD would be FINE!) to play infinite, and just find another way to let people even buy more stuff(wich will not give them an advantage) to make even more money!

Great idea isn't it?

E: Conclusion:

30USD equals +-12 hours of game play
or
30USD equals exactly 8125CR wich would make you a quite high level(if payed credits would add levels) and give you all weapons and all armor, wich is almost the best you can get.

An average person who plays 3 games a day and wins 80cr each time, achieves this in 81253x80)=34 days. 34 days is a month.

Let's say it takes 10 minutes to buy all those power cells and buy CR with it. A person who constantly buys (wich would be ridiculous, but it's just to give you an idea of how much faster they level) that, could buy this 3896 times in the time it would take someone who doesn't pay for the game to get to the same level the paying person does in 10 minutes.

This means they level 3896 times faster then someone who doesn't pay for the game. Well, I'm sure u will all agree that this is not fair.

Armor and weapon don't mean too much.

I have no armor and the default gun and I do perfectly fine.

What about all the online games on PC/PS3/DS/PSP/iPhone that DON'T require you to pay fees for "server upkeep?" Besides MMOs, there are pretty much NO games or online services out there that require fees like this. I have a feeling that's because games that DID try this business model failed because the market couldn't/wouldn't support it.

I'll be honest, I don't know very much about server costs, but I can't imagine that running the servers for this game would cost any more than running servers for any other global online game which offers all online services and features included with the price of admission. Also, if the game were sold at $10, 1/6 the cost of most desktop console games (or 1/5 in the case of most PC games), the difference in price is bound to attract several times the customers of higher priced games just because it's that much cheaper.

Bottom line, I don't think server upkeep is the reason for the pricing structure. I think it's just a money grab. To all you people who say you can still play the game for free, you aren't really getting to play the full game. I'd rather pay an upfront price for the game, whatever that may be, and get the full experience.

You get 30 cells once you get the app, automatically. So it starts out with $.99 of content.

Also, did anyone else notice the huge banner ad for Eliminate in the US App Store?!?!?
