The amount of replay value within the game is insane, and the production qualities will amaze you. In other words - it's a console game on your iPod. It's current price point is CHEAP AS HELL! In smartphone mode you can transforms bullets into crystals while in the arcade mode you don't (so smartphone is a bit easier with the challenge of higher score as you collect crystals). I play more the smartphone version, so maybe somebody else who played both equally might explain other differences in more details. And yes, it's not $.99 but sometimes we must know that quality need to be rewarded more. Dodonpachi at $7.99 is so worthy compare to useless free games with lots of IAP and ads. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #6 syntheticvoid, Oct 20, 2011 Last edited: Oct 20, 2011 oh... the difference between gameplay in the two? I bought recently the arcade mode version because I tought that they were to expensive when so many other shmups are so cheap but my gosh this is on another league of quality!! What are the main differences with espgaluda or what aspects of the gameplay are tweaked? It uses too a super complicated (and utterly awesome) scoring scheme too? Thanks in advance guys! syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #10 syntheticvoid, Oct 20, 2011 The gameplay is pretty much the same, but the scoring is, yes, just as complicated, if not more complicated than ESPGaluda. Both Modes have very different scoring, and the depth within the game is crazy. There's a hidden path in every level, as well as a second time through each level (where all enemies are harder) and a TRUE second time through each level (where all enemies are insanely hard) - and a hidden bee system that unlocks them (35 to unlock the second course, 45 to unlock the true second course). But comparing ESPGaluda to DDPR is kind of like comparing Sonic and Mario. Same type of gameplay, but two wildly different games.
