Me too, it's really struck me with the last few that I've played. Won't be getting this one then!

Yeah it's annoying especially with all the stats you have to compare.

This one seems more complex than chrome wolf on the "golem" (mech) handling. Or maybe just less intuitive.

There's a way to trade a rare drop from any enemy for in app currency, so that's a good thing. I only just found my second party member and I already have 30 (100 gets an xp doubler).

Leveling up makes your char more powerful, but only indirectly boosts your golem. To level up golems you pay money to buy stats. You can reallocate at any time (for more gold of course) which is a plus b/c I have no idea how to min/max yet. This was a key discovery for me ... make sure to keep upgrading your golem to keep pace with enemies.

When can we expect the review for this one Shaun?

Probably the same time as usual, about a week and a half after release, so late this week or early next week. I'm not quite finished it yet because I keep sneaking off to play other RPGs instead, haha.

Trying to finish off the last bit of Etrian Odyssey 3, replaying Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, just started a replay of Chaos Rings Omega, and in non-RPG news, Yakuza Ishin and Mega Man replays e'rryday.

I totally agree. Yay for Etrian Odyssey 3.

As for this game, I'm going to wait for the review

I finished this -- including all post-game missions except the final one which obliterated my party repeatedly -- but I think Shaun said everything that needs to be said in his review.

The game is actually reasonably fun but the experience is tainted by so many disappointments in the choices they made.
