Download it now!***Are you a fan of oldschool RPGs like Ultima, but crave the openness and exploration in modern games? If so, we at Valorware are dedicated to giving you just that! We are proud to present 9th Dawn, a game that's a blend of modern and traditional design and gameplay and sports the largest open world experience available today in a mobile RPG! Explore the large island continent of Montelorne, a land far detached from the mainland, but filled with mystery, danger, and last but not least, adventure. You begin your journey in the small village of Agaria, but once you gain your bearings, you'll find yourself immersed in a world of its own. Play as one of three of the traditional classes: The sturdy knight, skilled in the art of combat and possessing the ability to wield heavy armour and weapons; the nimble archer, capable of swiftly dispatching a foe from afar or up close with his daggers; the wise mage, master of the elements and capable of utilizing powerful magic spells and summoning abilities to obliterate the enemy. Whether it's searching for hidden artifacts and treasure, helping the troubled Montelornians with the rising undead armies, or simply exploring the massive world and its many towns, dungeons, and forests, there is no shortage of fun for a bold adventurer to partake of!We are constantly updating the game and fixing any bugs that pop up, so be sure to check in on our forums and Tumblr for the latest updates and plans for the game!Note: We have had a few reported issues on the iPod touch, we are looking into this and working to resolve it with an updated version soon. It really does look like an homage to Ultima (however without the turned based combat, but the more fast paced combat looks fun), which in my opinion is one of the greatest RPG series to never get reboot! I look forward to buying and playing this later tonight! This is the game i've been after for ages. I mean open-world - check, not online multiplayer - check, dual stick controls - check. Loving the look of this so far ! I'm glad combat isnt turn based, this reminds me of the gameboy version of Ultima which was more 'arcadey' when it came to combat. I just said this would be a quiet night of releases for me but this ones an instant purchase. Appletini Well-Known Member Jan 8, 2011 2,564 0 0 Ankh-Morpork #9 Appletini, Jun 5, 2013 Nope. It's a large open-world RPG with absolutely no loot whatsoever. Or NPCs. Or enemies. It's one big existential LMoE simulator. >_> undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,493 2 36 Houston, TX #10 undeadcow, Jun 5, 2013 9th Dawn is the result of a failed Kickstarted attempt that was promised only $471 (4% of $10,000 request) but the developers trucked on and made the game anyway. I always think it's admirable to see games that didn't get funded be made anyway I assume because the developer is passionate enough to just do it anyway. Since release on Android it's even been updated with (free) expansion content so by their bootstraps it seems to have been successful. I hope they are adding a zoom-option cuz it looks a lil bit small on an Phone screen. Also i didn't see any dungeons at all...? Graphics seem a bit dark.. maybe too dark for me. I'll wait to hear what folks here think of it. My only question, does it have any lute? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
