This game is pretty good, I just discovered it.
It still crashes randomly, so I always save and quit every now and then just in case.

Thank you for your interest and praise, vector .

The game hasn't been updated for 1 year, so there might be some incompatibility between it and the latest OS. Please accept our apology.

I figured, new iOS versions seem to do that more and more.
Any plans to update again? Maybe add new modes too? I think you can still get a lot of mileage out of this. There really are only a few great word games still.

As Spell Quest only gets 1 download every few weeks, it doesn't make sense to update it further. If there is really strong interest in the game, I would consider making a sequel (with a new Engine) instead.

Can you make a sequel anyway? There would be interest in it for sure. If it is even better than the original you'd get a lot of feedback from TA, since good word games are so hard to come by.
I don't know how developers do it, but Apple had Letter Soup on their front games page last week.

Also, I can't speak for everyone, but if I find a game that looks fun, and I see it hasn't been updated in a year or two, or three, I might be hesitant to bother because I'll assume that the developer gave up on it as that there could be issues. If under that a dev has continued support it makes me feel like the game is "still alive" and will run smoother as well as continue to get some love.
So maybe with updates and plugs here on TA you might see a download increase?

Thank you for your kind words, but it's not good enough to just have some interest in it. There has to be an overwhelming interest in it to justify a sequel. In the industry, it's about whether the return justifies the investment, and Spell Quest didn't make enough money even during its heyday to justify a sequel so far.

By the way, Spell Quest was also featured on the App Store briefly .

However, I would not rule out the sequel prospect in the future, if we do that as a hobby project, without consideration on the monetary return.

Thank you for your support again!
