It's pretty good. I still say Bike Mayhem is a little better, but this is still great. It controls like Tiny Wings or that Red Bull mountain biking game that released a couple months ago. Tap and hold when going downhill, let off when going uphill, swipe to do tricks, ect. There are tons of bikes, upgrades, and tracks and it really looks good too. It's got some pretty good devs behind the game. It's definitely worth checking out if you dig these kinda games like me. GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #3 GPS, Jan 16, 2016 Sounds good, gonna have to check it out! Cheers GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #4 GPS, Jan 17, 2016 Can't say I'm loving the freemium feel of the setup of this game. $4.49 AUD up front, then unlocking tricks and trails requires in game currency, that's..... Ok, but it appears that many of the later bikes to unlock are real world dollars only... Then there's the miriad of coin iap's withe the most expensive one topping out at $119.00AUD. They're ex EA devs right, not still working for them? Sorry but it leaves a bad feeling that I've just spent 4.50 on something that I'm gonna have to spend way more to finish... Hope I'm wrong... redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #5 redribbon, Jan 18, 2016 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #6 GPS, Jan 18, 2016 Ok , so played a bit more, and whilst I am enjoying it, I'm finding it a bit of a grind in terms of earning enough coins to unlock stuff. I've unlocked Utah trails now, which left me with 17 coins, the game is recommending I get a better bike, which cost 100 coins. So I'm having to re run the first lot of trails to level up ( which will get me 25 coins each level). Can't say after the entry fee to get this that I'm super happy about grinding... I shall persist for a bit and see how it goes. @ Neon, interested to hear what you think. Always value your opinion, cheers BenjFDC Member Dec 21, 2015 23 0 0 France #7 BenjFDC, Jan 18, 2016 Good game. Pretty hard to get the hands on though: tilting the phone isn't always reactive. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #8 NOEN, Jan 18, 2016 Yea, I'm running into the same issue here. At first I didn't mind everything costing coins because I had enough of them, but it's almost like they are gently forcing you into buying a coin pack. The game itself is fun and all, but EVERYTHING costs coins! Every bike, part, and even track. I dunno. I don't mind grinding, but I'm afraid it's just gonna get worse the farther I go. We'll see. GPS Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 2,283 165 63 Australia #9 GPS, Jan 18, 2016 Hopefully, thanks NOEN, It just takes a bit of the enjoyment away for me.. I'll keep playing and see. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #10 redribbon, Jan 18, 2016 @noen, have you reach the level where you offered a part that you cant buy because you dont have enough coins yet?grinding is a term where you have to replay the same area over and over again just to gain enough resource to buy stuffs. but after played it for one and a half hour, more or less, i still didnt find the parts that i cant buy. well maybe its too early to tell but so far im good with it. ill try a lil bit longer later to find out. NOEN Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2012 3,245 0 0 U.S. #11 NOEN, Jan 18, 2016 There's been a few times that's happened to me. I went back and bought a 2nd bike for 50 coins and since then, I've been constantly "grinding" to catch up on each part unlocked. I think all this game needs to make it more manageable is to give a little more coins after winning a race. Like I said before, it's like they are gently pushing you toward buying an IAP. imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,229 22 38 #12 imdakine1, Jan 19, 2016 Disappointed that it sounds like you buy the game but have so much need for iap. As ex-EA game designers I would have hoped that they would have made a premium game with no IAP. redribbon Well-Known Member Jun 11, 2010 2,799 53 48 entepreanur, programmer #13 redribbon, Jan 19, 2016 yep probably that, since i never buy any new bike since ive played(only the original and the first one that game told you to buy). hopefully the dev can see this and they can explained on how the grinding works. imdakine1 Well-Known Member Aug 23, 2011 1,229 22 38 #14 imdakine1, Jan 23, 2016 Price drop but probably should be free with what is supposedly full of IAPs. To bad it seemed intriguing but even at .99 I'm not buying... Be premium and you might have gotten more sales! Still confused on the iap model with what appears to be six different iap options. Glad to see it drop although as now I guess it is closer to free to try. A full on premium fake would have been move with no iap. At least developers are trying to change their pricing model. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
