Story from my local news in St. Louis. http://www.kmov.com/story/32410689/4-suspects-conducted-armed-robberies-using-pokemon-go-police-say
From a good website called Atlas Obscura: http://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/criminals-targeting-victims-with-the-geolocated-pokemon-go-game I don't play the game and don't really understand the appeal, but I'm fascinated with how a geolocated/AR game can have consequences in the real world.
That's crazy, I went to work out at the park today and saw at least 10 people walking around playing this.. Nucking futs
There is another story going round of a youtuber/uber that was streaming in his car and at the time he claims he saw someone get murdered. Here is the video link to story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0eaUqmt1W0
Police report wasn't 100% accurate: Snopes It was a group the police had been chasing that night, they weren't using lure modules or anything to target players. Walking around with my daughter this weekend we ran into 2 dozen or so people playing, had a couple of good chats, overall had a lot of fun. Servers were up for me (NA) most of the weekend. Even managed to keep a pokemon in a gym for 2 days.
