It would be totally awesome if there is better graphics, but I don't think so judging from the video.
Yea it doesn't look like any graphical upgrade, the main appeal is obviously the 4 new character (Balrog, Vega, Cody, and the mystery character) and also the online play. I will definitly buy this but I'm not happy that I'll need to buy the game again for a few new features, but I love the game enough that it won't matter to much.
I was just playing this over local multiplayer with a friend this past weekend, wishing aloud for online multiplayer. Dreams really do come true! Paid full price on day one, and I'll do it again!
To be honest, wifi multiplayer and a few more characters is all the improvements I care for. I honestly like the feel of the graphics now, and this will contain retina support too. I already know that I won't delete street fighter even when I get this. I'm not sure why, but I just really want two versions of it on my device sitting there side by side on home page.
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Is this an update to the original game, or a completely different standalone app? Cause it looks like the exact same shit just with 4 extra characters. Is the wifi multiplayer local or completely online?
i'm pretty excited for this one- wonder who the mystery character will be? (hoping for Ibuki, or Rose, but we'll probably get Dan...) From those screenies, looks like the graphics are a little sharper, or is that just my imagination? Also, the character select screen now looks like the one in Super SFIV, rather than standard SFIV. I think a lot of people will rail against the fact that this is a whole new app to pay for, but in fairness, the original had 3 updates, which brought the roster up from 8 to 14, so who's to say that this won't happen with this new version- starting at 18 characters, periodic updates could bring it up to over 20? I'm a huge fan, so will definitely be buying this day one, for sure. Totally stoked!
Hoping this won't fall at the $10 mark when it drops. I understand it's a "new" game but four new characters and backdrops shouldn't cost that much. But obviously Capcom are cashing on what they have done on the major consoles so this shouldn't seem a huge surprise. I picked SF4 up for 99 cents so I can always wait for this one to do the same.
Nice! got street fighter 4 when it was on sale i liked it, but it wasn't amazing... i think i'll wait a bit on this one, see the reviews first
Agreed on hope it is not at the 9.99 price point as it really could have been just an update, but equally agree they were pretty decent with updates to the first, and this one may end up with over 20 characters - well we can but hope. Don't see any info there but do you think they might perhaps put in two super combos per character in this one? And why has no one suggested Akuma as the mystery character? He's usually first to be mentioned . However, I think they should try to keep the gender balance a bit better....
