    Multiplayer trailer:

Looks similar to the gangstar games to me, but the graphics are ALOT better! :)

Update: Touchgen describes the game as being quite different to gangstar in their preview (see the link below!)

Here are some screenshots and Pictures of the game running on an iPhone from Touchgens Hands-on preview:

Could be good. Don't know why they wouldn't just make a gangstar 3.

Yeah but why not play off of a brand they already have. Unless this is a seriously beefed up trailer, or is not an open world game, I am very glad to see gameloft making major strides in their games.

It doesn't look very free-roamy to me. Sadly, I don't expect this to be open-world like GTA. I suppose they'll stick to Gangstar for that.

    I hope I'm wrong though.

I guess this is their 2nd Unreal game?

Also, I wouldn't expect a company like Gameloft to drop the F-Bomb in a trailer... they make family games too, so a kid might see the name Gameloft and be horrified at the swearing!!

I think this looks like a on rail shooter. I am basing this on the fact that their is a shooting ring on the screen instead of a thumbstick or just no shooting ring at all.

What's their first game utilizing the Unreal Engine 3?

i don't see why GL should upgrade their engine to Unreal, the GL engine looks gorgeous!

and this looks better than GTA SA gameplay-wise. IMO.

i hope it has a good story.

I dont know, it could use some work. The popup was pretty bad in Gangstar miami. Also the graphics in general weren't great, but I enjoyed the game a lot.

The game isn't only for iOS devices you know...

Second? This doesen't even look like it's the first!

People, stop beleeving that gameloft can't improove their engine to make games look good for the time they were released in.

I believe there was a NOVA spin-off using it? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I doubt it's on-rails. Gameloft are well know for their 3rd person shooters and they often remove HUD elements for trailers.

Anyway it looks pretty good to me. Looks as though the game is made up of somewhat linear levels, and not a sandbox game like Gangstar. Which is fine by me. I expect gameloft worked harder on the story and the cut-scenes for this game. And it does look like it's one of Gameloft's engines as opposed to the UE3.

Gameloft's latest crime sim appears to be set on the mean streets of LA and features men with guns, drugs, cars, and at least one stripper.

Keyword: 'appears' - that's simply speculation like we're doing here. :)

By the way, the N.O.V.A. game for Facebook didn't use the Unreal Engine. ;)

I don't know how I missed this the first time, but I just watched the trailer again and noticed that the protagonist is an undercover cop. He waves at the cop car and arrests that guy in the grey hoodie.
