This is primarily for playing WoW and basic computing.

I have no desire to learn how to build a PC at my age. :p

I would rather have an i5 with a good video card, than have an i7 with a not so good video card. And if I can get 8 gig of ram that would be a bonus.

Would like at least 2GB of video ram.

    Is this reasonable?

Dell had one for $699 that had everything I wanted except it had a pretty cheesy video card, and they didn't offer any upgrades for that card.

Ah completely missed the prebuilt part of the post I was going to recommend the http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc subreddit for ideas but I guess with prebuilts that's completely useless.

That looks like a solid build, and thats a nice deal on that video card! When I have some time later I'll try and come up with something for you. Only problem I saw was that you had no OS, do you already have a 64-bit copy of windows?

I would need to by an OS.... I would likely go with 7, 64bit.

That's not a bad machine for the money. Go with Win7 as Win8 not only is shockingly bad but also eats up way too much power of your machine.

Meh, I myself run windows 7 but as for the windows 8 thing I'm pretty sure thats just a myth. Some games like battlefield are optimized for it and offer some slight fps boosts in comparison to 7. Just go for whichever os has a better deal. Just make sure you're buying 64 bit. OEMs are a good deal but just be mindful that when you have to upgrade to a new mobo you will have to buy a new OEM key

Yeah I've never been a big fan of Win 8 or 8.1 but all my games work completely flawlessly plus I hear it will be upgraded to Windows 9 sometime for free.

Would probably not be a great idea to avoid it for games given a lot of newer games need the newer directx versions only Win 8 or better supports properly.

Well considering you didn't want to build it looks like you got a pretty good deal. Not really sure how the performance is on the 745 since I think its an OEM card but I'm sure it'll be fine for what you need. It also has 4gb of graphics ram which surprises me haha, have fun!

I read on it some..... supposed to be very close to the 750 version, but a slight step down. No matter what, it sure as heck has to beat what I have been using....

a Sony all in one with an i3, 4gb ram, and no video card at all. :D

There basically will be no Windows 9, they are going straight to 10... Im in the dev preview that I have yet to install, but plan on it after doing a backup.
