I'm not sure if you made this video personally but if so, nice work! Although if you watch the tutorial at the title screen it shows you how to open the game's menu (hold your finger down on the square shaped button). From there you can equip the swords and armor you bought.
Also a handy tip, watch out for the red monsters they are tough, I'd recommend running, or using an item on them (one hit kill).
Monster difficulty is ranked by Green/Blue/Yellow/Red/Purple.
