Thought it would be good to have a thread that showed what was being bought Just write the title of the game and a bit of information about it. To TA:if there is a thread like this one I'm sorry
What have you bought so far this week? So far: Pitfall (free) Zombies.(99c) 4NR(99c) Micro miners (99c)
this week? this is just monday. I bought street fighter x tekken last week, anyway. I have the console version, but IOS game mode is actully better. charaters are too less, need at least 4 more.
What all is releasing this week anyway? Most if not all of the games that I'd be interested in going on sale I already own (yeah, I own way too many iOS games). If Baldur's Gate releases this week (I know it won't) ill be getting that!
Zombies! A pretty funny little game which was reviewed by touch arcade the other day here. The cut scenes in between levels can be hilarious. Especially the one about the security guard and his shotgun. However I found the controls (at first) a little bit weird. But once you get the hang of wielding the chainsaw it's stacks of fun
I bought in app purchases to csr racing. 2.99 for 30 coins and 2.99 for the turbo boost to get the good car. Stupid right? Not touching that game again, can't believe I fell for it.
Zombies! That's about it...was planning to buy that Chinese board game later on this week but it went free =p
Gear Jack (pretty good) March on Oz (not played much yet, but looks not too bad) Rage of Galdiator (good game, but not my cup of tea) Shadowgun Deadzone (spent long hours playing this!...though it can still see much improvement)
Knights of Pen & Paper. Fun and creative, though it is slightly lacking in direction; Based off of an hour or two of play time, it seems designed for the platform it is played on - mobile - and therefore better in shorter bursts (at least to this beholder). The game seems to be built around short-ish quests and the subsequent leveling of your party rather than a long continuous plot arc. Not a bad thing, just on observation. The one point I do want to let people know about is the IAP system - it seems to me that the in game money drops are designed to nudge you toward purchasing in game gold with real currency. I personally like grinding away in games/rpg's, but I feel the IAP's are nearing necessity, for lack of a better word. I still recommend the game to any interested parties, and my comments above aren't meant to damn the game. Just a heads up from one player to the next. Edit: After I wrote this, I realized that there is an update that makes travel and consumables cheaper.
Grabbed Meganoid 2... Pretty damn fun! Also grabbed Rage of the Gladiator and Heroes of Order and Chaos!
Here are some great games I´ve bought lately: He-Man - The Most Powerful Game of The Universe Plague Inc. Pandemic 2.5 About Love, Hate and the Other Ones Knights Of Pen & Paper Super Hexagon Devils Attorney On my "To Buy" List: Skyriders Flow In The Cloud Boulder Dash XL Rage Of The Gladiator
Knights of Pen and Paper - Great game, cute and fun, but too grindy for my taste. Will still continue to play this from time to time as there are just too many games on my iPad. (1.99) Mensa Academy - To be honest, if this is not from Square Enix, I don't see myself buying this. A polished game with childish graphics (but challenging enough levels). I'd say content is pretty okay for this game, but still pricey. (4.99) 300 Dwarves - Just released. An obvious Kingdom Rush clone, and in my opinion, a step back from KR. Still fun, with cute graphics and polished game play. I see myself playing this once, and be deleted. (2.99 HD) MoneyWiz - Not a game but it was on sale and I thought the app is beautifully designed, and can help me with managing my expenses. (.99 Sale) @DannyTheElite I bought Devil's Attorney on the day it was released, and the humor alone is worth the 2.99. Game play is simple and definitely not it's strongest point, but graphics and as I've said, humor, is just great. It's one of those games that you might play once or twice, and that's about it. You can finish the game in 2-3 hours, and even less if you are familiar with it already.
