I have a feeling there are allot of things everyone would like to see in the new game Center. So i will combine a list of all the things they need. But i need your help so please post what you think they need in a reply and i will add it to the list. I will start it off. (Updated) #1 Change Theme #2 Total Game Center Points on Profile Page #3 Save, Restore and synchronize game state accross devices and on the same device #4 Restore of older game states after reinstallation on first run of the game #5 Offline mode #6 Support for Iphone 3G devices #7 Save Replays #8 In game and out of game private chat, group chat #9 Some kind of display case where you can show of your 5 favorite achievements. #10 Bigger Achievement logos. #11 To be able to Edit the Font for your Username #12 Being able to see a List full of all the statuses your friends have made. #13 Profile Pictures #14 Another good thing even though it isn't in GC a Logo (like the + that says this app is Ipad capable) But to show that this app is Game Center compatible Like a G logo or gc. #15 What my friends are playing #16 Faster Loading #17 The stupid friend request sound (push) to be customisable or at least less annoying. #18 The New friend Notification on the push notification should be in my language not French, German or whatever else. #19 To be able to organise your request into sections like bulk and so on. #20 I would like for gc to check my contacts app for friends and add them if they have a gc account. #21 Ability to add an avatar to profile #22 Support for landscape orientation. #23 The ability to see the friends of your friends and to add them #24 Be able to organize friends list #25 To be able to change the Game Center Notification sound. #26 A green light next to Active usere's names on your friends list #27 Ability to see what country your Multiplayer opponent is in. Keep them coming Guys Others: Other people said support for 2nd Gen Devices which it does have. and Importing users from facebook and Twitter wouldnt work as not everyone on twitter has GC.Also we have had people not liking the trumpet sound as it wakes them up in the morning. A tip is to just turn your volume of when you are not using your device. BTW these are not all my ideas there just what others say if you don't like them then say something but DO NOT start an argument over it. We want to keep this a friendly Post. Ps. OpenFeint does Twitter and Facebook imports and it works like a charme. It imports only these people which added their twitter accounts to their OF account.
It works allready Just my opinions, not asking you to remove anything. They should add a page with all of the gamecentre apps in catagories (one that says free!!!
I just think it will make game center confusing and i think Twitter and Facebook will add Terms like you need to put our logo on the persons page and so on.
#4 Restore of older game states after reinstallation on first run of the game This already happens on some games. If you have touchgrind you can delete it and it will ask if you want to delete it from Game Center, Tap No. When you reinstall the game it will auto download your score and unlock all the boards you unlock previously #6 Support for 3G devices Game Center supports ALL third generation hardware. The only devices not supported are the first gen iphone/ipod touch and the iphone 3g (which is a second gen device)
Thats interesting. But what I mean is the savestate of games like Broken Sword, We Rule and Real Racing. You cannot just download Achievements and Rankings, you need a place to store more data. OpenFeint and Plus+ offer this.
The first thing I want to see is... what my friends are playing. What are they up to. Kind of like the Facebook wall, but more friendly. Have there been any challenges while I was away - have they unlocked any achievements? What are they actually enjoying? What are the games they spend their most time on? Which game are most of my friends actively plaing? It needs to be like a "diary" of what everyone has been up to. This is the first thing I want to see when I open up Game Center.
I don't like game centre at all! It's horrid - I can't see other social gaming things like OF losing out just yet! It needs faster loading.
OpenFeint was bad when it started up. The reason for this thread is to advise on things that will make it good. We hope it somehow gets to Apple.
