    Hey guys,

I'm Ger and I'm new around here. Wanted to let you know about my upcoming iPhone & iPod touch app: Hipster CEO. Here's the skinny:

Hipster CEO is a startup simulation game available for iPhone & iPod Touch available sometime in 2013.

Take charge of your very own startup & put your entrepreneurial skills to the test. Choose your office space, negotiate salaries & handle investment offers, all decisions lie with you - assuming you still have control of your company!

Head on over to www.hipsterceo.com for more details.

    Cheers!

    Update

Hey guys, some new details & screenshots on the app available here:

    http://hipsterceo.com/details.html.

    Here's the paste:

    The deets.
    Construction in progress.

Three key sections make up any great tech product: functionality, design and stability. You're gonna have to nail all three to beat your competitors.

Functionality is, like, how well you product does it's job. Is it an employee of the month or does it come into work late with unkempt hair and stinking of last night's kegger?

Design. Is your product a Dieter Rams or a Bill Gates? Is it an iMac or a CueCat? Basically what I'm asking is do people enjoy using your product?

Stability means how reliable your product is in term of bugs but also how well it can deal with traffic. Planning a big marketing campaign? Well then make sure your product can handle all those visitors bro!

    Advertising? Ewww.

A necessary evil. The father of advertising, David Ogilvy, once said: "Never write an advertisement which you wouldn’t want your family to read. You wouldn’t tell lies to your own wife. Don’t tell them to mine”. Right on, Dave. But surely stuff like increasing divorce rates and the general breakdown of the "traditional" family dynamic means it's okay to lie a little? I'm waffling. What I want to say: lie. Lie your ass off. Tell 'em I said you could do it. Or don't. Whatevs.

Spread the word on your startup via the mediums of web, print, radio and TV. And don't leave it until launch to kick off marketing either.

Get making stacks on stacks on stacks.

Slap a price on your product and get it making you some moolah. Don't be afraid of upping the price if you see your product flying off virtual shelves - greed is good, mang. Screw with your price too much, though, and you'll just tick people off.

Hiring. Or: "So what do you think is your worst quality?"

You're only as good as the team you've built around you. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. Hire developers, marketers and salespeople to do your grunt work. Then you can be the "ideas guy" but you may just feel like a lazy jerk because they're basically the same thing.

Do you want a fresh college grad or seasoned pro? I guess the budget will decide. But what if you can choose between two newbies and one lifer? Give it some thought. I mean, hiring a 36 year old seems dumb cos they're practically retired right?

    Pesky investors.

Put your dukes up John, you've decided to raise some capital. Aside from gobbling up precious equity and possibly being a gigantic pain in the ass some investors come loaded with special abilities that will benefit your startup, like:

Media Mogul - your own personal hype machine.
Tech Specialist - like some kind of wise wizard for your tech team to run ideas by.
Sales Guru - will help you nail your product price.
Culture King - keep the company peeps happy, I mean, it's all about the people, right?
    Carry on, my wayward son.

Work towards profitability. Spiral towards debt-driven doom. Face the embarrassment of your friends and the "I told you so" wrath of your parents.

Rip it up and start again. Attack your next startup with the skills you've earned from the previous one.

    FAQ (Fack!)
    When's it out?

    October 2013, all going well.

Are you developing an Android version?

Don't bet your Google Glasses on it.
