So, not that this game is incredibly popular, but as warning to anyone else playing you should know "dance crews" are gimmicks designed to sap your stamina for no noticeable benefit.

I've read a dozen reviews of this game which mention crews but nobody actually says what they do. The game itself doesn't say either. You pay 10-30+ stamina per crew member to have flashy animations play during the round. The result? Nothing.

I paid about 100 stamina to have a full crew of level 20+ people help me in a battle, then proceeded to hit every note save for about three. I lost the battle to the opponent who had no crew and no items.

Fun game but holy cripes it's annoying how they scam you into wastIng stamina with events and "crew" to clearly rip you off.

That's half true. Using crew members in a battle provides a small score boost every time those blue lasers are fired. I know this because I can score over the 1 mil + 200k score cap (or generally score higher than usual) with crew members set. Also, if your level is higher than your crew members, and they have Staying Power skill, each member can potentially cost as low as 7-9 stamina. It's all about using the right crew members for the right songs and battles.
