The screenshots are absolutely gorgeous and the gameplay looks like a blast! Can't wait to see more soon, would love to beta test as well (I'm signed up to receive Dreamrunner newsletter/info). Best of luck on a great-looking game!
Game looks amazing and the character design really makes me wonder about the back story. Can't wait to check this out. Looks like an amazing platform for future development too.
Looks fantastic! First off, I just watched the gameplay video. I was already sold on the ethereal artwork alone, but the gameplay looks absolutely gorgeous as well. My copy of Temple Run should start quaking in it's explorer boots (I tend to only keep one game per genre, with exceptions for the varying types of character driven puzzle games [think Angry Brids, Cut the Rope, Where's My Water?, etc.]). Second, would I be correct to guess that the four colored semi-circles on the edges of the screen are action buttons? I noticed jumping, dashing, and possibly attacking (though that may be the same as the dash). If I'm right, what is(are) the other button(s) for? If not, what are those? Finally, I am really looking forward to the beta. I can't wait to see this on my iPhone and iPad! If it plays better in person than the video shows, this will be a true visual treat. Keep up the good work. Peace, Jerutix (aka JStein360)
Amazing visuals! I just watched the video preview. Unbelievable! Visually, everything, from the opening screen to the gameplay, is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to try it on my iPod Touch 4, or even better, on my iPad2 if it's coming out on that format. I'm really looking forward to the beta. Ravee3rd (Ray Norris)
Amazing visuals! I am so glad I came across you. I just watched the video preview. Unbelievable! Visually, everything, from the opening screen to the gameplay, is stunning--I get that great feeling in my gut just watching it. I can't wait to play it on my iPod Touch4, or even better, on my iPad2 if it's coming out on that format. I'm really looking forward to the beta. And, before I forget, I want to say how impressed I am with the fast responses I'm getting on my emails from the developers. That's so important to us. Thanks, Ray
hi folks - quick update - most of the beta invites (testflight links) have gone out. We are sorry if you didn't get in the first batch - we will be sending out a few more invites after the first batch - thank you all! play and let play!
The beta build has been sent - play and let play! What's New: Beta Version of Dream Runner 1.0 The following features were disabled in this version - Shop - Objectives System - Storyline Elements - Next Worlds - Some abilities of Nito - Ranking - Social Features (Gamecenter, Openfeint, Facebook, Twitter etc.)
Wow this is GOOD! Like, VERY GOOD! Not going to put forward any details yet but the graphics are gorgeous and gameplay is great. The great: Graphics Gameplay Epic orchestral (with fantasy themes) background music! Menu Some problems though: *NO SOUND effects! (not that I can hear) *The blazing trail behind the character during boosts could use some animation. Currently, it looks like a static line (or lines joined together). *Running animation is ok during the first 5 seconds... but when the character speeds up, it looks super-accelerated and VERY unrealistic (or believable). This is worse during dash. Perhaps you could make the character take long steps instead of speeding up the animation (beyond believable speed)? Or make him/his boots glow when his traveling faster (glowing boots make people run faster right? ). ***Where can I buy/download the soundtrack?
I would have to agree with you on some of these aspects. I did email them back about it, but having no sound effects completely throws me off. & I do wish the blazing trail is more "magical" looking as opposed to the orange line. As for the faster animation, I kind of like it. It reminds me of The Flash. I feel if you make the character take longer steps it would look even more unrealistic, but that's just me.
thanks everyone for the awesome feedback - keep running and keep it coming please remember to fill out the form - https://docs.google.com/a/werplay.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHo1NWdKVERySVRJcmZDanhUTjFkYlE6MQ - so that we also get answers to some specifics we are concerned about. here are some more disclaimers that we should have sent out with testflight - sound fx - we will have sound fx for everything - they weren't final yet so we turned them off for the beta tutorial button in main menu - this is again a place holder which will not be present in the game - the tutorial will only run the first time a user starts it or when we introduce a new feature - what we would like to know is - whether the tutorial was helpful? more beta invites - we will be sending another batch out pretty soon - we want to make sure we take care of the people who've been active on this thread - so if you've been here and you've supported us and we've missed you out for some reason - please let us know and we will try our best!
So I spent 15 minutes on this game and I love it. Although I would say it needs some sound effects in the game sense it seems like your just tilting your device and listening to the ingame soundtrack. The ingame music is amazing btw gets me really hooked in game, and when ever you boost your speed I think there should be like more effects around the shoes whenever boosting your speed. Besides that I love the game.
Just did sent you Guys with the Testflight Message System a Message that I couldn't try the current Build since my Device wasn`t yet obviously added
we are sending out more invites and adding more devices - for the builds to be sent out tonight - we will add 3 more beta testers - we will choose them from the first 5 people to respond to this post . we had some issues with our feedback form that we've fixed. Sanuku can you please PM us your email so that we can look into your issue. thanks!
