I would really love ffviii to be ported. I know its just wishful thinking at this time, but this game introduced me to the Final Fantasy series and RPG games in gemeral so it has some sentimental value
I've been playing Tales of Phantasia on an emulator (ehem) over the last few days -- would love to see that ported. Chrono Trigger would be great, too. I have to say, I wasn't anywhere as taken with TWEWY as most people have been (didn't really enjoy the combat, and the whole badge system seemed unnecessarily complicated) -- don't see how that one would translate to an iPhone screen. FF7 is a bit of a pipe dream, as is FF8. That said, two of the ports that I most wanted to see are already in the works (Secret of Mana and FFT), so I'm a happy guy.
Meh I havent played TWEWY either but I'd still like to play it, and the way I see it is if a game of PoP:WW's caliber can ported a simple ps1 should be able to
TWEWY is a DS original that makes full use of the dual screen; it's also pretty frenetic for an action RPG. It's definitely a good game, just not one that connected with me.
TWEWY would never transfer over to the iPod. It was designed from the ground up for the DS, so they would have to change far too much to port it over.
Xenogears, FF VIII, and FF VI are probably the top of my wish list. FFT was on there but thankfully Square came to it senses on that one. These are pretty much just wishful thinking...pretty sure they won't be ported unfortunately. Also: Parasite Eve
