Hi, I am just wondering how much money do you guys spend on the appstore each month? Itunes in general as well? I think that I am spending a bit too much money on these apps at the moment.
I also buy graphic novels/comics every week so thats about say $8. On apps it depends on whats released, say an average of $10 a week. So yeah it adds up ($40 for games, $32 for comics/graphic novels) so about $72 or so in total. On the other hand i still find it a 'cheap' hobby/addiction ! The latest games on X-Box etc cost $30 or more and thats for one game Some weeks i might spend far less, other weeks a bit more. Still think its a very cheap form of entertainment. I'm also high on helping out devs, if we all waited for price drops/games to go free then iOS gaming would grind to a halt as devs wouldnt make enough money
Not much, I've probably spent no more than $40-50 since 2011 on apps. Most apps I've got are either free, or have gone free with special offers. BUT... I've spent also on IAP. Maybe around $10 in total.
Id average 10-15 bucks each week, but the past couple months have been premium-spree, so i pretty much over spent.
Hard to say. It all depends on: What is released this week. What games are on offer this week. Which IAP expansions have been released/are on offer, and is still installed on my iPad this week? How much space I have left in my iPad this week. Main determiner being how much space I have available...
50 a week more or less as I use gift cards to control my spending a bit. Some weeks I spend less than that but on others its much more specially when anything pinball, rpg or boardgame related cames out as its an automatic purchase. It is way cheaper to game on ios than any other platform though as I have up to 250 extra bucks a month alloted to my other consoles (as you can see gaming is my biggest vice it seems) and it usually translates in only 3 or 4 games at the prices where I live opposed to the constant stream of new games pouring on my ios devices.
Well if 1 good game comes out every week for the premium price of $6 then I grab a few 99c games that week I am at $10 a week possibly. Not to bad for something that provides so much entertainment.
I'm probably somewhere between 69p and £1.50 a month - and that still gets me way more games than I have time to play.
~25€ per month, on average on 1-2 games. Lengthy explanation below... Just to set scope: I gave myself a 100€ spare time budget, else I would be spending hundreds per month on books. Of that, some goes into buying movies (i am an avid collector, and need to rebuild my library) and books. I spend a maximum of 25€ per month on iOS games, for several reasons: The root cause is: With a family, I have not much free time. Which directly results in 1) I have a huge backlog already, for books, games and movies. 2) One good lengthy game can keep me occupied for months. 3) I am old enough to both remember much higher prices for games (€75-100€, which is more like 150€-200€ today, taking inflation into account) and an even lower than iOS price level for arcades (~25cents). 4) Because of 1&2 I value quality. 5) Due to 3, I place high value on longterm quality & engagement. Conclusion: One quality game per month is enough for me. And it can be in the high pricerange of, say, X-COM or Baldur's Gate. When I am sure it will be worth it, premium price is an incentive for me, not a problem: From the price alone, your game stands out. Even more so in the Strategy and Roleplaying area where I reside. Simply because so few quality games are released there that I can essily keep track; and any gem automatically stands out more, because all new games in those genres are more visible due to less app releases.
Almost zero regarding to games. At first I put in 50 bucks then somehow I landed on FMA and GnomeEscape. Owning six device now, I put in all paid games and apps on one account.
I don't have six, but I have five, and they are all fully used and fully filled. Now, I have just four, as my iPhone 4 just died. Piece of crap...
My app, game, books, music, graphic novels and comics purchases are a little north of $110 each month.
Why would you have 5 or 6 devices ? Just curious I've got 3, an ipad 3, an iphone 4 (given to me by my wife), and an ipod touch 64 gig. I'll probably sell my ipod touch soon hoping there'll be 128 gig devices announced in September. So i often put the cost of an older device towards the new one, if i kept it it'll just keep losing value year after year
It really depends on the sales and release quality. I'd say 10 bucks is the average for a month, though I've spend that much on a single Square game.
